True, it's not very in flavor is it? I mean, the power itself is very flavorful for Death Wing, just not so much the gameplay it creates when used optimally. The game designer's dilemma- how to make interesting shit that doesn't become degenerate when optimized.

Very first time I ever played Galakrond (2nd best new hero imo) landed 1st place with demons against Deathwing and Alex. Guess they didn't highroll enough.

@@yntxrrr Reno is actually incredibly good. Literally power lvl and get a Golden Dragon, (the broken +7+7 everyturn guy which gold is +14+14).

Wigglytuff Gaming you just force murlocs, menagerie or deathrattle comp with reno since golden brann/rivendare is so insane. Much much better than any +14/14 every turn could ever be

There's only so much testing a small crew of small brain can do. The public will always learn new techniques faster
Y'know, I'd realized that Rat Pack was insane from the first time I saw Deathwing's power
but I somehow didn't consider how much all of Ghastcoiler's bullshit benefits from having +3 attack on everything
None of his opponents had thick bodies tbh since everyone were experimenting on day 1 and he had some really good RNG with the rat pack getting max value during mid games. Each coilers only gets 12 extra dmg off the deathwing buff across 4 bodies if there's room for max value so against fat demon or even murlocs, it'll die just like other regular deathrattle build by late game.

@@mandowarrior123 demon taunts with Jaraxxus constant buffing got me a few top 3 and couple of wins. The dragons seem to only work if you hit near perfect rng

The counter to this is the dragon that causes 3 damage to the left most minion, when overkill activates. Since tokens have 1 health, it chains, until it will probably clear the whole board
Agreed. But it seems ridiculously rare and hard to get when you need it. Sometimes this game really shits on you with the draws

They definitely need to lower it to 2 attack or make it cost gold to use for each match. Or both...
I don't know if its just me, but bartendotron seems a hell of a lot better this patch. That 1 less starting cost to some of the tiers really really helps (plus his hero power of course). I havent heard anyone talking about it, and i want to know if im insane or not, because i havent gotten below 4th with him in my first 7 games this patch.
They should lower the +3 to +2 attack. The 4-health point is a significant stat in battlegrounds, and this passive just completely negates it. One ratpack is enough to demolish everything early and midgame
Death wing game plan: play tokens turn 1 level up turn 2 turn 3 sell 1 token get 2 rat packs then powerlevel to 5 or 6 and get a beasts or demon death rattle build easy top 1

My first game with Deathwing, I`m at 8.5k MMR: first time ever I win with 40 hp (had flawless wins before but with demon or afk), he is so strong!

Ya I tried deathwing with a soul juggler build. I got kind of unlucky with the demons I got but it worked pretty nicely. The imps you summon get 3 extra attack so it honestly made a huge difference. Sadly I only 3 minions give imps and went for imp mama like 12 times to no avail. Then a golden rat pack as well so not very good synergy with the juggler build. Despite all that I still managed a top 3. So with better luck than me and buffing your imp gang then I feel it could be a very solid comp.
This hero is definitely the most blatantly OP hero BG has ever seen. I've hit top 3, top 2, even won, with compositions that have NOTHING. No added stats, no Baron, just base minions that spit out a shitton of other minions. I had no right to even make it to 6th place. But I was Deathwing, so I was clearing out compositions that should rightfully be winning the whole game. I've sat on the same comp without improvement for 5 turns straight rolling for upgrades and came up empty and beat people whose stats have doubled since the last time I faced them. There's no way Deathwing stays the way he is. Even though people do try their best to counterplay you with buying last minute token generators when they are about to face you, they can't keep doing that the whole game or they lose every other match.
I feel like the Imp Mama should be tier 5, I don't think it's good enough at 6. Too slow so it only ever summons one demon if that. Hp is too low and doesn't have time to scale.
Start with tokens then go full deathrattle... on my DW i had buffed up egg, sneeds, gold snake, snake and 2 mech revivers at the end... last card was mech cleave

The thing about Deathwing is that you yourself can tech cards that will be good with his hero power; you can, in ways, play around or with him. Tirion is just god stats. The only counter is god murlocs.
First 1st place post dragon patch and I won with....giant poisonous divine shield murlocs. -_-
The other three times I came 2nd/3rd, everyone lost to....giant poisonous divine shield murlocs. Dragon doesn't feel like it's strong enough in the mid game against big demons and for some reason, beast seems to be edging out mechs in my games.

Definitely a crazy hero, but I like that it's a simultaneous effect other players could counter you with your own build :P On another note Murozond is awesome it is such a valuable purchase.
the problem is, doing so ONLY works against deathwing and no one else, so if someone else knocks out deathwing, your build is absolute garbage if your secondary buffer/s dont live when the rats die finally and you will get destroyed by anything else
@@josephnolan6323 Well Baron deathrattle builds are pretty good so I think you'd be fine also Mama getting sniped has always been a weakness of beast builds
ya playing deathwing with 2 early rats felt like I was 3 turns ahead of everyone else in the game. I think in the finals I did 27 damage to the person in second. It was bonkers

I won a round by picking wolf and rat. he died, then I was on 5 minions and 2 other guys, but since I was daryll, those 5 were huge, kinda works both ways, people can just keep a rat in hand to win against deahtwing and just drop when play against him, and might make him take a lot of damage early, the way people learned to play against rafaam, nowadays you don't get any decent minions if you don't have a bomb or dragon
I got this hero once, and I almost went undefeated the whole game. I only lost 1 round and that was cos he went first, and hit my ratpack with his first attack, and even then he only had 1 guy left with 1 hp that I could have killed with better attacks

My first build of the new patch was a pure soul juggler death wing... killed everyone in the game and ended it super early.

Tirion is still the most OP, they actually managed to inadvertantly buff him with drakonid and mackerel rounding out his comp nicely.

I think Bob said "You got this, you're way ahead!" (which was weirdly cut out despite him referencing it directly) and he only says that line when you're in first place. Kripp was confused because he was clearly in second, but because first place had conceded, Bob recognised him as being in first.

Dancing Daryl + tier 1/2 dragons = OPAF! Being able to get the dragon count up, and dancing the right units up. So they all survive incoming snipes. Came in 2nd to a #TopTirion in 1st. Was good to see him in 1st. This patch has not been good for him.

it is possible he is... extremely powerful early game, mid game, and can carry himself to late game divine murlocs.
I really don't think Blizzard cares that much about hero balance because the imbalance contributes to the addiction mechanic of the game. It makes people want to keep playing until they get a good hero. Then it's exciting to win with a good hero, so they want to keep playing.
