I miss those days. Moved away to Moose county 10 years ago. Have you been out yet this year? The mild temperatures and minimal snow might make for an early season.
I've probably hiked 40+ km's so far. Found two sheds from last year, at the end of December, about 30 feet apart. Not a match but the one was a brute. Both no chew marks and no bleaching. Other than that, it has been a bust so far. We did get pounded by snow in January - it is starting to go down now, but has an ice coating covering it - but still at least a foot deep. I'm actually quite surprised - I've hit up some of my best spots, heavy trails, thick cedar, food areas. Nothing. Will be heading out in the morning to see what I can find.
He could be - or a brother. Sadly, Big 10 was hit and killed by a truck 12 days after he showed up for the only time on the trail cam. Crummy news. Fortunately his meat was salvaged.
