I've got a solution for you, Cordless, on how to figure out whether to do silent or narrated tours.
At the beginning of the video you say: if you want a silent tour, hit M on your keyboard. If you want a narrated tour, do not hit M on your keyboard.
Its a joke obviously lol but it's legitimate. Just talk and then recommend that those who want it silent just hit the damn mute button. Because the "silent" tour is just Fallout background noise and wind and maybe some settler banter. So honestly I think you should just say to mute it if you want it silent, that way those of us who want to hear you explain your builds can and those who do not, won't.

Yo this is freakin nuts. Getting back into Fallout and this gave me a lot of ideas on where I want to go with the Hill. You’re attention to detail is unreal. I don’t think I’ll ever have the creativity or patients to put all the little things in place!

You know, I never even considered using the railroad cars as a vending station! I have a mod (pc) that adds working vending machines to the game, and this along with your idea is frickin awesome!!!!! Thanks for all the great Ideas and DETAIL you put into your builds. Your not the only "nerd" when it comes to details!

I really like your builds. Right now, im taking a bit of a roleplay perspective. My character wants her people to have actually livable homes. That means no massive holes in walls and glass windows.
I really like using the warehouse pieces. I got a mod that fixes the busted windows of them. It still looks rough compared to a prewar type build, but it looks like people wont freeze to death during the winter either.
This is really inspiring! I'm planing on recreating that "octagon" Marketplace around the tree in my Sanctuary too. The only thing I don't like, are those brickwall buildings or other complex structures like that. But that's just because I'm a fan of the idea that the settlers build all this without any machines or mass produced bricks, so it wouldn't make sense to me that the could build a two-stories house out of bricks and steel that looks better than the actual houses in boston :D but that's just me. Great job anyway! Keep on doing that! And I love your funny commentary btw :3
Well if they can canonically fix up cars, vertibirds and power armor I see no reason why they couldn't fix up a factory to manufacture that kind of stuff. It's not like it's impossible. They got the Hoover dam working again so why shouldn't they be able to manufacture items like bricks? Or carve them like they did in the old days

I like this style of settlement tours. It is nice to listen to you explain stuff at the beginning but then have the silence during the actual tour. That way if I want to hear the explanation I can listen to that, but if I don't I can skip forward to the silent tour.
An improvement you could make to it is to display the title of the mod on the screen you are referring to as you start to talk about it. That way if I missed a certain mod in the video or want to find out what object(s) from that mod you are referring to, I can go forwards or backwards to that part of the video.
Otherwise the video was great. Keep up the good work.

Great build. It's video's like your's that inspire me to keep building something decent. And here I thought my makeshift bunk house with 12 or 14 beds nothing else in there was good. Lol, I guess I have long ways to go to make Sanctuary Hills happy.

I did a huge build on my channel in sanctuary surrounding the tree awhile back. it was a tree house. I did a tour of the build. I love to do high detail builds, with tons of decoration.

Have you ever found a mod that lets you put down "clutter"? Like all those leaf piles, random papers, trash, etc. in cities and such? I've been looking but can't. I feel like that would add that last final perfect touch to so many builds.

The Marketplace was my favorite. A nice, cozy space to chill, scrappy materials, hastily assembled in unorthodox methods. The vending capsule was a nice touch, and the ramshackle RV and shack were cool. But your buildings... I got a bit of an eye twitch. The Minuteman building was slightly forgivable- scavenged bits of the ruined houses, maybe- but for the most part I just can't fathom how they were even built. They look too clean, too perfect, fashioned by tools and molds that were lost in the war and assembled too cleanly by men who couldn't possibly properly assemble such building.

i still dont feel that the diner and the brick building fits in ... so maybe make them look a bit more scrappy on the outside to fit better. other than that this place is turning out nice
I like the build a lot. Do you have any issues with the settlers moving in and out of the stores?
how does your game not crash on xbox with this much awesomeness? if I built that much, I would crash within 10-20 minutes

Hi Cordless ! First thank you for this awesome build, you are one of the rare guys on UA-cam doing some amazing lore-friendly settlements, with EvilViking13 (according to me). I have downloaded every single mod listed in the description of the video, but I don't find the red roof you used in front of your radio station (the one at 3:00) ! With which mod can I find it ? And in which section ? :) I'm using an Xbox One !
Love the builds, but either the capture card or your Xbox itself need an upgrade. Even on 1080p your videos are fuzzy and there's visible frame drops constantly when you get into the bigger settlements.
No idea what your budget is like or how serious you take YT, but a good PC, or even one of the newer, beefed up Xboxes would improve the video quality a lot.
What is that brick building on the left? I don't recall seeing a video on you building that. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough.
Hey did Thematic and Practical get removed? I can't find it anywhere on Xbox One, when I search it up the only result I get is G2M Workshop. I have used it before and it's one of my favorite settlement mods I would love to get it back.

If you want to add debris to your settlement you need to use the mod Just Debris by ScanTheCat, Dividus, and DjxJt13 (www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21359/?).
When I start building my settlements up I usually clear out almost all of the debris, but sometimes realize that it was a mistake to do so since the debris could have helped level out the area I have a floor piece or a piece of furniture on and thus would have prevented it from looking like it's floating in the air with the proper support.
With the Just Debris mod you can add in some debris to make those items look supported. You can also add in debris in areas you removed debris from to add character to a certain area of the settlement that you didn't realize you would need it to be there before building at that spot.
One day you might just actually want to create a scrap yard settlement to supply the others with scrap via supply lines. If you had this mod, or a mod that accomplishes the same thing, those types of settlements may be possible for you to make.
Sometimes it is more fun to make them instead of always making a neat and tidy settlement.

Love the build! I had a question, not sure if anyone already asked but I'm having a problem with vanilla extensions. I'm dying to use the string of lights that come in the mod but vanilla extensions seems to shift things like floor pieces and railings. I have tried everything, I'm on the Xbox one I'm good about load order and have everything working, just this mod is conflicting even when I disable everything besides vanilla extensions. Just thought I'd ask here because you seem to have it working just fine. If anyone could help it would be very much appreciated

I think he plays on Xbox, and I believe Transfer Settlements is currently PC only. Which sucks. :( If Transfer Settlements comes to Xbox, then I 1000% agree!
