Haha! It’s actually pretty easy once you get the swing of things. Everything is laid out very intuitively. I’ll do another video of it diving a bit deeper and showing everything.
Another fantastic video… I just HAD to buy The Technician and this reaffirmed my purchase. Would love to see on screen text based on what’s happening with the pedal as you’re playing. I feel that would enhance the viewing experience even more! But this is your channel, so do what you want haha How does this compare to MOOD or some of the other Chase Bliss/ ambient pedals for you?
Why thank you! The purpose of this video (as all the First Sounds videos are) is to just discover what you can find. Instead of spending time off camera finding sounds to showcase, this style just lets you, the viewer, go in the journey with me and find what moments you really like. The controls are laid out really well so it’s a pretty easy learn. I can make another video diving more into what everything does too so stay tuned 😎
Great question! To adjust the modulators like that, you press “control page” (the arcade button on the bottom between the foot switches.) The control page turns purple and then you start to select the modulators for the different effects. The modulator you’re controlling is based on the color of that particular arcade button (delay for example being the arcade button on the right). You use the mod 1 & 2 knobs while in secondary mode to adjust the modulator accordingly. Make sense?
Definitely not a mood killer for me, especially given the amount of real estate it takes up. On the other hand, I’ve already been shuffling things around on my pedal board playground board, trying to make space to run this with my mood mkii. I just can’t seem to have too many looping pedals on my board. Wheels within wheels.
I suppose it depends on how you use the mood. I tend to generally use the wet side, and not much on the microlooper side, whereas some people are the opposite. Making room for both on your board would be killer!!
That depends on how you use the Chroma! If it’s just reverb, delay, and looper then maybe! But there are many effects the Chroma does that the Technician doesn’t so I think no, it’s not a Chroma killer 😎
For me, the chroma console killer was the chroma console. And that’s after buying it twice and selling it twice. Did not jibe with the workflow at all, and I really didn’t like the differences in volume between effects. On the other hand, if I wasn’t the singer, I would probably have more fun bending over and fiddling with it, and I love the sounds other people get out of it.
This sounds sick but it looks pretty deep, gotta start a codependent relationship with the manual for a few months

I was hoping you were gonna get your hands on this
Oh yes. Couldn’t resist! It’s really incredible

Not as expensive as you think! They definitely pack a whole lot in for the price
Truth. Regardless of price, if something is out of reach, save for it! Budgeting advice via hashtags for the win 🥇
How do you adjust the rate and depth of the modulators? Having a hard time figuring that out from the manual

Maybe blooper killer.
Ooh yeah good thought!

something's wrong with both the stereo field and your gainstaging - the right channel overloads and clips, the panorama is not centered
Hey thanks for pointing it out! I’ll take a listen and see if I can’t fix it for the next one!
Hm2 killer ?
It knocked the HM-2 off my board that’s for sure
Is this a chroma console killer ?

I think they are different tools with different goals. They make amazing products and i could see using both on a board.
Thanks for weighing in! You’re absolutely correct! Use both!

I tend to use the Chroma more in the studio kind of like a mastering effect. It has its quirks, but definitely has places it shines
Lemme guess....$1000 cad😂😂😂
No! $399 USD, which currently is like $566 cad
@@thepedalcollaborative Jesus Christ...for a pedal....plus outrageous shipping too....I'll pass.
