I remember my sister watching this movie in our living room and seeing some of it out of the corner of my eye. This was back when I was a teenager. I'm not a fan of creepy movies and would get scared quite easily. I had to babysit for a family the next night. I was terrified and on edge the whole time. I made sure all the doors were locked and all the blinds closed. I was scared the whole evening and I honestly don't think I babysat again after that 💀 I curled up on the couch with their big basset hound and made sure my back was to the wall so I could see every exit from the living room.
I love how the suspense builds up in the middle of the film where shots of the creepy house are shown from the living room, hallways and kitchen along with the outside of the house and the guest house. That hallway with the wooden slats always for some odd reason seemed so creepy where the laundry facilities or rooms were just when she goes through it it’s so dark and you feel like something’s gonna pop out at ya. But then again a lot of the house was all spooky itself like that weird ass statue on the top of the staircase. Just the hands dangling down on it was damn creepy.
I don't think they like to let anybody get really established. When old school movie stars got really big, they began to have power behind the scenes. Today, I think they try to shuffle people in and out fast, so nobody gets that big.
I love it when her friend Tiffany comes over when she gets in her car to leave and the engine won’t start the sound of it cranking over is two totally different ones when it actually starts lol
Watch the original When a Stranger Calls from 1979. It will keep you on your toes because it is a lot more suspenseful, with better action, and a better ending that will make you jump out your skin. Children can watch this later version and not get nightmares. Adults can watch the 1979 version and get nightmares.
Definitely, sound advice, much better acting in the original and cinematography. When A Strangers Calls Back 1993 is the same director as the first and unbelievably scary, I highly recommend it.

She became my inspiration after watching this film in 2007.. She seemed Absolutely stunning and beautiful..

The house should be at the top of the list of credits. It's an incredible house, and ideal for a horror film.

I'd never babysit in a creepy house like that, in the middle of nowhere and no way to escape.
Imagine if she couldn't have got the rings off. She'd of been busted for sure.
I forgot she had just put some jelwery on herself before the sudden noise 😅.
