Thanks for watching y'all! I must first apologize, you may notice the first part of this trip the audio isn't so great. I did my very best to clean it up and make it usable, but what that means is so many fish and situations were cut out. SORRY ABOUT THAT. Either way, this pattern of fishing is incredibly productive and still working. So, I'll leave that to you guys to go and explore for yourselves. Next, I'm going to explore some new to me areas, probably Delacroix and then continue to move west. Stay tuned, it's gonna be a fun journey!
Yep,Never will forget the fishing mentor who introduced me to Lunker City and their fine line of incredibly-effective soft plastics.Zoom makes the Fluke and Lunker City's version is Fin-S and it comes in an incredible array of colors and sizes and the Shakers are quite fatter and not 100% of the time but quite often larger lures yield larger fish and matching de hatch makes perfect sense.West Zone of duck season starts next Saturday and ya might run into a few duck hunters this coming Sat/Sun!!Catch em up and gotta give credit where credit is due-somehow lost cast control cap on relatively new Daiwa Coastal 200 TWS and Daiwa sending me the cap plus the washers underneath cap GRATIS!!Love dat Coastal and have a Tatula and plenty Lew's baitcasters.Have one that I wore out a gear on,replaced gear and she is ultra-smooth!!Used to use plenty Shimano baitcasters but someone, definitely in the know, introduced me to Lew's baitcasters and the majority of my fishing gear happens to be fine and ultra-smooth Lew's reels!
Yeah I really love my Lew's. I've tried a few other brands but the price point, smoothness, and durability of Lew's can't be beat. It's the same reason I fish with Falcon rods. They're easy to repair, cheap, durable. That's all I need.
Ha I do have some merch ideas actually. Big issue I have right now is too many ideas! But thanks for watching dude, definitely going to work on merch probably next year.
Nice video and nice fish as well.Years ago,I was coming home from a fine trip to the Causeway where i boxed a solo limit of flounders and some inquisitive individual asked how I did and to my surprise, had a ton of fine glass minnows, obviously the flounders spit em up and they looked EXACTLY like the soft plastic ya were tossing.Zoom makes flukes in Baby Bass and I need to get back to tossing em!!!Lunker City makes one called Fin-S in minnow variety and the lures I have been tossing are called Shakers and I typically use 3.75 in Shakers, threaded onto ultra-fine Pro-S jigheads, also Lunker City!!!Try em,ya might like em as much as de fish like em!!!Duck hunting is my passion and I also fish the areas you have been fishing.I noticed the pattern this past Th was the bigger specks seemed to want an aggressive pop and then hang on as they seemed to nail de Shakers as they descended from aggressive pop.Vampire and Jungle Jazz seem to be the best for those ultra-clear conditions you and I both had.Might see ya out there-I could tell exactly where ya were based upon the Pipeline Canal sign-try heading slightly E to mouth of Bayou Liberty-might scare up some sow specks!!
Yeah man, one of my core philosophies when fishing is matching the hatch. You're not the first to recommend a fluke so I'll keep that top of mind. Always looking to try new styles and techniques. Thanks for watching man!
Congrats on 1k subs! Looking forward to seeing those camping videos. I've tried taking my kayak out near this area to fish and camp a couple of times, but so far I've been unlucky with the wind being too rough for my kayak to get out there safely. It's crazy how even a little wind on Pontchartrain can really change things.
Yeah that's why I never really fished the area. I have another video I have been trying to edit that shows what you're talking about. I was getting knocked around out of nowhere. But if you can pick your days, man, it's a beautiful fishery.
Yep. Between the kid, the job, and these days the never ending birthday party schedule... I usually just see a day with no meetings and no wind and hop on it. Not much other strategy besides that lol. But either way, reach out. Eventually we can make something happen.
I really don't know man. I think it probably comes from an old skateboarding injury. I can't make a full grip with my left hand because one of my fingers doesn't fully work anymore. This grip allows me to use mostly my left forearm muscle rather than my grip strength to hold onto the rod. But that's a hunch, I only started fishing bait caster three years ago and I only did what was comfortable.

Great strategy to learn a new location. Yall get well!
Yep. We're on the mend now and turns out, it was a fuse issue with the trolling motor.
Congrats 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks man! You're one of the OGs and much appreciated. 🙏
We need to collaborate man!
For sure man. Send me an email or DM on IG. Fair warning, my schedule is a nightmare 😂
@ I hear that! That’s half the reason i fish alone. It’s tough to line up schedules.

I notice you have an unconventional grip on the rod. Any insight on that? Feel? Preference? Injury?
Just curious as it’s unique
