In my 06, that I’ve owned since 08, I’m on my 4th set of lifters and second cam. When the last lifter failed the cam ended up spinning a cam bearing. That’s when I took the opportunity to pull the engine and build it into a 426. Now, according to Arrington, with the Crower cam & lifters, I should be somewhere around 540hp to the ground! The only other real issue is my rear subframe bushings are toast!! However, I have a set of neoprene Energy Suspension bushings I’m gonna be putting in soon. Nice looking car! Just stay up on things as they come up and you’ll be happy with it!
@@ionehkontehdiabo7627 yea now I just need the temp to be somewhere liveable which probably won’t be anytime soon so I can get the rear end squared away! Then it’s on to the interior (ie. replacing the dash panel and recovering the seats). At that point I’ll be happy, kinda.
It’s a nice car! Just the suspension on those are known to go down. It a very slippery slope on mods and very expensive. Enjoy her as she is for now trust me. Have fun
@@chicago4809 I never owned a 300, I worked on a few during my automotive tech days, know ppl who still own them. It’s just the suspension parts wear on those vehicles quick if you don’t use oem parts. All vehicles parts wear down.

Dropping Valve Seats, lifter problems, valves dropping etc.1005 to 2008 were the worst and every Hemi those yrs will get it after around 100/150 k miles. Im a mechanic and done so many head and cam jobs on these lemons i could do it blind folded. Dodge knew it was a problem and never bothered to fix it and by the time it lets go warranty is done. Get yourself a used car power train warranty because it cost a ton of cast to fix. PS: stop letting your mom cut your hair :P
I just got a 2006 charger srt8 and it has 140k miles, it dropped a valve seat and fuckdd the piston up I’m in the middle or getting it all built and put back together

the 6.1 didn’t have lifter tic nearly as often as any of the other hemis
