When you purchased a sprinter new or used you can get the pod on the roof that gains u about 2 foot in hight. There about 2.6k to have put on. Looking at them for my build

My Sprinter 316 CDI L2H2 middleroof is about 1.90 high, the toproof exceeds 2.00, which will be enough

I had to up the weight rating on my converted van as with 2 bikes it was well over the GVW limit.
