She’s been through so much, she got her memories back meaning she remembers how the flare and all that started including watching her mom and sister getting insane. She was manipulated by wicked because all she wanted was to find a cure but she didn’t know what wicked would do just to get the price. She regrets it so much and even sacrifices her life for her friends, so yes she does deserve to be happy.

It hurts so much to know she could’ve made the jump, but she felt like a burden. She felt like everyone hated her but Thomas and once she knew he was safe she gave up.

God, that hit me hard. They had such a beautiful bond, and throughout everything that happened, everything that should have kept them apart, they found a way back to each other. They were flawed, and damaged, and messed up, but beautiful nonetheless. He loved her. She loved him. Their love was different than ordinary love. It was extraordinary, broken, but love all the same. And in those final moments, he understands. It was just awful that she was gone in the next moment.

I really don’t understand the hate Teresa gets. I see more in the movie how you could hate her, but not in the books so much. Her “betrayal” was not even real. She did it because she wanted to save Thomas. She was always on the Gladers side except for The Scorch Trials. She also thought she loved WICKED, that they were good, but not in the end. She worked to help free people just as much as anyone else. Maybe people don’t read the books and their hatred stems from that but even in the movie, she does redeem herself in the end.
I just showed this to my friend who HATES her (I don’t mind her but newt is my favourite) and she said oh, I didn’t think of it like that

Exactly, I prefer her character ark and her relationship with Thomas in the books but even in the movies her motives were in the right place and she did really love and care about Thomas
I WAS SOOO SHATTERED WHEN HE GOT WITH BRENDA! I was like how can you just forget everything that happened with Teresa and how much she loves you! She literally did what she did in the books because wicked said they’re kill him if she didn’t! Yet he still hated on her fir the rest of the series, and he didn’t realize he still cares about her until she sacrificed herself for him, and he still just got to sacred and *kissed Brenda under the sunset*🙄 You don’t understand how MAD and BROKEN i was😭😭💔

I really don't get why so many people hate her. She wanted to save the world. Thomas and Brenda together in the books pissed me off so much. In the books, she didn't even betray them she had to keep Thomas alive, and her death was abrupt and rushed in the books. That's why I was so happy when the last movie decided to give them a chance. But I understand why she had to die, because she couldn't live with the guilt of what she had done. I love them so much.
People say that Teresa deserved to die because she betrayed Thomas but I don't think so because in the end we saw that she regreted her decision n was feeling guilty n also saved thomas and Thomas forgave her, but the saddest part is that she thought she don't deserve to live after what she does but it breaks my heart, Thomas n Teresa are best love story of all time ❤️❤️❤️

Everyone should really read the first prequel book in The Maze Runner series that name is “The kill order”. That will make you understand why Teresa do all of this.
All the people she love or care for her were ALL dead because of this pandemic disease. They were sacrificed themselves to make her alive. She carries a terrible PAIN and a great responsibility. She done all of this not only because of the sake of this world but also for all the pp she love .

And please read the prequels aswell especially the kill order, it will explain Teresa's actions and it will actually show that she made the right decision in the wrong way. She and Thomas loved each other and he lost his love and his bestfriend in tdc thats what makes the 3rd movie scary to watch lol

Just a personal opinion, but I think too many people hate Teresa because they think that she had the same mindset as Janson; think for yourself, hunt down, capture, and torture immunes with no remorse under the guise that the “ends justify the means.” They also seem to think that she’s cold and calculating and blind to the damage her actions have caused. She really isn’t. She doesn’t share those views and she never has. Yes, she chose the world over her friends. Yes, she watched her friends be tortured and never interfered. And yes, she “would do it again.” But she never ever enjoyed it or wanted to do it. Hell, she even said that she “regrets it sometimes.” Not to mention the fact that she makes one of the greatest personal sacrifices by doing this; she gives up what is essentially the last of the closest thing she has to a family to save everyone. Not only that, but she doesn’t take the easy way out when Ava Paige offers to take her memories away of the Gladers and Thomas in The Death Cure movie; she chooses to step up and live with her guilt and keeps working through it all. This shows true selflessness and strength of character. Even if people still don’t like her, Teresa deserves far far more respect. She will always have a place in my heart.

I think Teresa and Thomas were in love when they worked with WCKED and in the end they excepted that they changed but they still loved each other. But also she was to weighed down by guilt to jump and save herself, she knew she didn’t deserve him. I’m glad that in the end that at least she was sorry and she did change, in the end at least she didn’t go down thinking that what she did was right.
Fever code says that they were a couple before the maze. I think she deserved to live, for me I support her choice and her guts to stand up for herself. Not her fault WICKED broke their promise to not hurt anyone. But if she rebelled she knew it will only cause more killing. I would've done the same decision if I was her, but in different ways.
