Great!!! The initial balance is a value already calculated in your DATA, please I need a guide to calculate the initial balance of a period with DAX.
love the usage of the calculation group! really clever way to avoid adding the same condition to each and every measure
It feels hacky, but at least it works 😊
That was helpful especially seeing the new matrix updates in action
Appreciate it 😃
Excellent 🎉.. thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Excellent content! Thank you so much for sharing 🔥
Definitely the workaround feels a little too hacky, but sometimes it's the only way to get things done.
I use a dummy measure with = "000000" to get a fixed width, and I really feel like it could be a better way, but I didn't find it yet.
I Appreciate the comment! Yeah a lot of things in Power bi do feel super hacky, I'm even making that one of the topics for my conference sessions xD
Hi Injae, thank you for this and all your work!
All i came to say is, that I needed more than one row to have a single line, and i created multiple calculated groups, one for each of my items. If anyone used a better way, I would love to know.
Thanks!
Do you mean that you need one cell to have multiple lines?
@@PowerBIPark i have multiple rows, a total cash row for example and another 2 rows that do the same thing, they dont have subcategories. I tried to create one calculated group and put all the options there, to select them as items, but it didnt work. it would only fix the first option. I ended up using 3 calculated groups on the filter panel, one for each row i wanted to remove the extra lines from (to remove the repetitive lines in the subcategory part)
Waiting this video 😊 thank You ❤
Hope you like it! I made this one a little fast, but hopefully you still learn lots :)
@@PowerBIPark I really learned a lot from all your videos. Thank you for your work 🙌 💜
That's awesome. I'm glad you hear it :)
Thank you for an efficient review👌 Very useful! I would greatly appreciate it if you could please make the Excel file available
I'm on holidays for 2 weeks, but if you want the data, you can just copy it from the power bi in my github. It's linked in the description.
Otherwise, ill add the excel when I'm back to my github
Great video. Is there a reason you're using 1920x1080 as custom resolution? I saw someone else on LinkedIn saying that this will be a default 16:9 resolution going forward, but spoke directly to Microsoft and they denied...
It's because the default 16:9 is low res, and most people look at the report on a 1920*1080 resolution or higher. The main reason I do this is because it's a workaround for getting smaller font sizes (I.e. 8 font size is the minimum, but you can just make the canvas larger), but also it gives you more space in development, just with snapping to grid etc. I do recommend 😉
so eveyrthing is free , and you used the latest matrix visuals update ? i'll do it later thi sweek, thanks a lot, we need more tutorials like this :) other question, at 11min when you set the format and display units for each specific column, can't you do it for several column in the same time ,
when i use the svg image measure it's barely visible i tried to increase several times and no change :(
Sorry about that. Svgs aren't really my forte, even i have to use chat gpt to fix it :(
Hi. My main category is not bold. How can I bold my main category ?
Check the "row headers" in the format pane
