i though you guys keep the japanese lyrics, but you didn't honestly i'm a bit dissapointed but however the cover was nice
Their label adapted the lyrics because Chrissy doesn't speak Japanese, it's credited on the physical album :)
You mean this song is in ATC's album?
this song is only on the album that was released in Japan to my knowledge so anywhere else in the world this song will not be on the 'In Our Bones' Album
When we recorded this we were on a time crunch and didn't have anyone that spoke Japanese to help me with the pronunciations, otherwise we would have kept the Japanese lyrics :)

IF she were to sing the lyrics in Japanese, her accent's gonna be off and all of you die hard One OK Rock fans would be complaining. So she compensated by translating it into English, giving it a more natural feel. What's wrong with that? LOL

+James Yusof I dunno, PelleK did/does a pretty good job on singing Japanese and he's Norwegian. While I don't mind this, I still believe they shouldn't have translated it, primarily because of how it flows differently since English is slower paced with fewer individual sounds compared to Japanese.
+TheClassiestFox that's only because he might have a better grasp of the accent than Christy does, so you can't just say that like it's a general thing for people. Some can, some can't.

I thought this was really well done, taking the song and dubbing the few Japanese parts and making it work well. Instrumentals run smoothly and well and all around a solid cover, people who are bitching need to stop. Don't complain cause they dubbed it, it honestly makes more sense that way AND gives us a taste of what the song can sound like if dubbed.

The song is 75% english originally, if you check correctly; that nice migling of english and japanese lyrics is what I always loved with OOR's songs, and what partly makes me favor them over a thousand american rock songs (besides the fact that they are also simply awesome). Japanese has this special sonority that hooks me up more than full english songs. So yeah it's well done, but because of that it looses interest for me indeed.
BUT once again: that's just a personal opinion!! Stop thinking we're "bitching" as soon as we disagree with something, I'm just expressing my feels ... Why couldn't I? Why would I have to shut up just because it's well done? That's nonsense. You can like or dislike, and you can do so for many reasons.

This cover is the reason why I got into OOR. Too bad they don't sell that much in the ocident so I can't listen to their old material unless I import it from Japan.

I've been an Against the Current fan since 2016 and this is the first time I've ever heard this song. I thought I'd heard it all by now. I've heard all the other Japan tracks, and even the song they did with Taka, but this is brand new to me. It's a crazy feeling

This is my favorite OOR Cover. She did a fantastic job.
It is amazing that the translation fit in quite well with the original temple.
