- A torch test is a group of blood tests that are commonly performed during pregnancy to screen for a range of infectious diseases that can potentially harm the developing fetus.
"Torch" stands for Toxoplasmosis, Other (syphilis, varicella-zoster virus, parvovirus B19), Rubella, Cytomegalovirus, and Herpes simplex virus. These infections, collectively referred to as Torch infections can cause a variety of problems in pregnancy, including miscarriage, stillbirth, and birth defects.
It is important for pregnant women to undergo torch testing to identify any infections early on so that appropriate interventions can be taken to minimize the risks to the developing baby.

It depends upon the reference range in your report. If the values are below reference range then it is negative.

If only igG is positive then that could be due to old infection. Check ig M as well. Do a dual marker test and NT scan at 11 weeks and detailed anomaly scan at 18 weeks. Please consult a high risk OBGY specialist

There are multiple reasons behind this. Most common is genetic reason. Torch igG test will just tell you if you have immunity. IgM is positive may be due to current infection.

Any igG positive just indicates immunity and any igM positive denotes current infection,which is unlikely to be related to previous outcomes. You need to evaluated properly to find out cause of miscarriage and prevent it
