- No Mow May!
No Mow does not mean you have to give up on your beloved lawn stripes altogether. it is possible to have both in your garden.
There are so many benefits to no mow - You will be amazed at the difference it will make to the variety of wildlife you will find in your garden.
Another bonus - It is awesome for the BEES!

I'm already a fan of no mow area's, there's so many fantastic wildflowers in the garden, just waiting to grow, it brings so much wildlife in too.
You explained it so well, hope many follow your advice.
👌👍
It makes such a big difference 😀
although I do still like my striped lawns - you can’t beat a wildflower meadow.
As always - Thank you for watching.
good reminder of how easy it is for all us garden maintenance operatives to all do our little bit for the environment, wildlife, nature etc👌👍iam actually experimenting with the benefits of mulching on one of my customers lawns this season & so far it's amazing how much greener & healthier it looks😀
😀 I still love my lawn stripes, but having areas offset for wildlife, creates a nice balance.
When mulching is done properly it really is quite surprising the results 😀 As always, thank you for watching 👍
I cut big communal areas on residential estates in London and the locals have been getting us to leave areas during may for a couple of years now and like you said the amount that pops up is really surprising.
Hopefully setting a precedent for the future!
Great vid mate 👍🏻
😀 Cool.
It really is fascinating to watch what appears.
Thank you for watching 👍
Love the videos, many thanks for taking the time to make them for us! May I ask what camera you use for filming? Cheers
Thank you for watching. I shoot my videos with a Sony ZV1 and a Dji Ronin 4D
Great video Andy, and nice explanation. Over here in the states people are encouraging no mow as well but haven’t really presented great reasons for it or ways that it could be implemented. This video gave me some ideas on how it could be done even by someone like me who enjoys the beauty of a nicely manicured lawn but could leave some areas to become more diverse and natural. Something to think about.
Very well produced as well.
Great video Andy. Needs a song but I am not a poet :
No mow No mow
Let's all stop cutting
Rest up by the bough
And everyone stop tutting
🤣😀 Brilliant 👏👏👏
I’m honestly so happy you made this video. Funny thing that i am reading Monty Dons book and he’s all about this subject. It’s sad I cannot push this through with most of our clients. “Wildflowers are weeds spray them from my lawn”… It’s just bad cultural programming and I hope over time garden owners will see otherwise. So thanks for raising awareness!
😀 Thank you for your comment.
And thank you for watching 👍
Nearly the there!I've resisted the temptation to pick up the mower. Picked up the ukulele instead! I hope you like our No No May song: ua-cam.com/video/pxzDwZFExEY/v-deo.html
Never thought of doing it. Will definitely try it and will advise some of my customers to do so.
Great video! Thank you for your advices! Cheers!!!
😀 That is fantastic to hear!
Thank you for watching 👍
Nice one well explained Back when I was working on the holiday camp we used to leave odd bits on the banks for wild flowers (weeds) saved some work Nice Video Thanks again
😀 As always thank you for watching, and taking the time to comment.
It can definitely be mutually beneficial, saves us some time and keeps the wee beasties happy 😀
Good idea that. I've already started a no mow area. But think I will add a few more places. 👍
😀 Fantastic.
Thank you for watching 👍
Great to see, and a really interesting presentation. Thanks.
😀 Thank you for watching.
I'm 30 seconds in and loving the quality from your new camera. 👌 phwarrr

@@TheFullyChargedGardener oh I know the pain with the audio🤦🏻♂️ nothing worse ! I’ve managed to do it with my UA-cam vid and my podcast this week 😂😂
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance 🤣 It’s a steep learning curve, that’s for sure.
It’s becoming so important now buddy with the decline in insects.
Absolutely! 👍
Great video! And I really like the 21:9 ratio.
