The actual thing ingame that Fuwawa is commenting on, is that (over the preceding minutes) the jam jars and their ineptness with them were the source of their inability to make progress. The jam didn't get physically stuck; they got figuratively "stuck" because of jam. So "[X] is jammed" doesn't make English sense here because it's physical. [X]が邪魔だ" does make sense because its connotation is general obstacle-ness.
But you _can use_ "jam" figuratively as a noun instead of adjective "jammed". Directly, "the jam put us in a jam". Or with more creative license, "we were in a real jam there". You could make a different pun entirely if you took even more license, like "the jam was jamming my brain" / "my brain is jammed now" but you get further from what they literally said. That's inaff from me.
