The intro video is about her memory when she was six when her little sister Died.
Check out her song "Like You" and "Hello".
Its about her sister's death
The intro is actually a track on it’s own called “The-in-between”
She did compose it herself and he played it live too. She plays all the piano part live in all of their concert and in some songs even head-bangs and rock on the piano. It’s basically amazing to see their live videos.
And this is off their previous album “Synthesis” which is a mix between Full Orchestra and electronic. The album is basically them revisiting their old songs and re-producing them into a new fresh one. That album only had 2 new songs , Imperfection and Hi-Lo (featuring Lindsey Sterling)

Great reaction, man! I think it's one of the best reactions I've seen to this song.., I love Evanescence..... I think the scenes of the little girl in the video refer to the day when her little sister died. Amy has said that her sister's death made her want to be an artist, because she was too sad and the music kept her alive. As we see Amy in the present under the rain, processing her memories and pain with music (by moving her fingers as if she play the piano in her imagination) Then we enter in her mind, where there are all kinds of shapes and colors resembling the chaos that we sometimes have in our thoughts..... then we can see her as a little girl being embraced and comforted by her adult self between that chaos...Cause she does not forget, but she want to give a positive message to herself :)
It would be awesome if you reacted to more Evanescence music, like the music video for My heart is broken and Lithium ..

Your Star from the Synthesis album is PHENOMENAL. It's also amazing in its original form from the Open Door album. If I remember correctly, she wrote Imperfection as an anti suicide song.
I think the next ones have to be *My Heart Is Broken* and *Your Star*

However, in her life experience and feedback from fans from the start, she realized she was not alone. Hence this very moving song.
