- Hey guys! I have been thinking about his concept for a couple of months now. We are all used to buying ready made things that we forget that the whole process of getting things made and stitched is so unique and amazing! Selecting a fabric, design, pattern, colour and basically, every little thing is in your hands. I love the creative ability we have while getting something hand made. My naani used to have a sewing machine at home and I used to create some fun and unique outfits with her using her old sarees or suits. It is such a good memory and such a desi thing to do! Also, as Diwali is almost here, I decided to build my own outfit from scratch and see how that goes! I properly researched how I want my clothes to be and then went ahead with the whole process. If you would have taken golden cream beige colour for shorts it would have been better .
Since the colour for the kurti is light and the cloth is net instead of a shorts you should wear long pants in golden beige colour .

Sending all positive thoughts and love to you. Though the tailor did not do a good job on the outfit. The whole point of anarkali are the kali! He made a straight jacket to make his work easy. On top of that, the lining and upper part should've been made separately and then the kali/flare part stitched to it for a better finish and fit, just like a fit and flare dress. The shorts were made like pajamas, just shorter. 3000 for anarkali jacket would be fine but this was a rip-off. As a person who sews quite a bit and gets custom stitched clothes all the time, it irked me to see how bad this tailor has done the work.

Exactly.. I stitch my clothes on my own.. So i know how badly this dress is Stitched !! Tailor had done nothing in this.. he probably would have Stitched it in 1 hour

to be very honest, i loved the idea, but i would never spend 6k for getting this done... i would go for cheaper options. would easily get the brocade kapra for 1000 bucks...

I always make outfits from scratch and stitch it myself, though I'm not a certified fashion designer but it's my passion so I do it and also made some for my friends and family.. Guys never let your passion die.

Hi sejal..I regularly get my ethnic wear stitched from my tailor..Just a suggestion while selecting a tailor do first give a trial session of regular clothes like kurta or chudidar suit etc. And do check out the stuff they have already made so you can get a clear idea whether or not to give for stitching to that particular tailor. 😊

All of us have made this one thing ki anarkali ya jacket ke niche u Should only wear pants or churridaar, try experimenting with the looks a little bit, and if u cant at least appreciate someone else who has done it . I agree the stitching isn't the best but the outfit idea was amazing, even in the Anita dongre outfit , it was paired with shorts and it looked sexy to say the least . If the same stitching was done by a better tailor, this look would have been bomb. ❤️❤️
Hi sejal.in my opinion the gear should be more flare because he used the whole sari and remaining gone waste so better include whole sari metrial which remained.and use brocade slim trousers in green or peache.it will compliment ur body type.its my opinion.hope u never mind . happy diwali...
