i think dumb and amber both have a point on the ~intensity of kpop fans. kpop fandom IS on another level but that's not because of it's intensity - amber's right there, every single artist and genre has its sasaeng fans - it's because of kpop fan's sense of entitlement. throwing their pacifier out of the stroller every time there's a dating scandal or dropping / attacking entire groups because one member makes some kind of mistake etc. the difference between kpop fandom and other fandoms isn't their level of passion, it's their perceived (and delusional) ownership of idols. k-fans criticize international kpop fans for "just not getting it, being ignorant foreigners" when they question the way k-fans treat idols like they can't be idols AND human beings, but honestly the sooner kpop goes truly global and k-fans no longer make up the largest percentage of kpop fans, the better that will be for idols because it'll hopefully mean they feel like they can breathe easier and just be themselves. also if dumb ever just goes dark at least we know now to go look for him in korea, where he'll be racking up those wons teaching poor terrified trainees how to freestyle. That possessiveness is the reason why Amber has just kept it totally hidden who she dates. In all these years she's been so careful she never said a name publicly or even said she was dating someone until a while after the relationship ended. That must have been advice somebody gave her when she went to Korea to train. I guess when she finally meets the right guy & it works out then everyone will know, but for now she's being extremely careful to keep her private life private, for her sake & theirs.

Yea couldn’t agree more. I’ve been a kpop fans since 2004, and got the chance to visit the country in the beginning of this year. And yeah like dfd said, i could feel the stress and how most people are really individualist. I’ve always wanna stay in korea, but now i kind doubt myself like is it better for me to go there for vacation. Bcos I lived in a pretty chill and relax way, and korean mostly are really “palli palli” and discipline so it’s difficult. And also agree with him regarding their fun activities, most of my korean friends they have fun to reduce stress by drinking couple times on weekdays. Well, i’m just gonna comment about Amber now~ She’s a total dork and kindhearted! Even though she looks like a tomboy, but she’s probably like the girliest member of f(x). Also she answered every question diplomatically . And i totally respect her for that! I really wish her success

I just started swimming after hurting my leg this summer. I have not swam in a long time. I can swim, but in the swimming pool I am self conscious and just back float back and forth. Amber's strength is motivating me to actually swim and get my body healthier and stronger!
