yeah massive , in my mind probably as important setting a good example off the pitch as on and one of the reasons i hope they sort the contract out . i have always believed this but every time you hear a young player saying the best player at the club is in earliest and trains more so i need to do more just reinforces that . nothing to do with liverpool but cantona did this at utd , the storys at the time was he would take a couple of the young players and get them to cross for him to finish , scholes said on a podcast cantona was the first person he saw go to gym before training and do stuff after training and it influenced that whole young group ( unfortunatly lol ) . milly did it aswell but i think it impressess the young players more when its a top 5 player in the world doing it , reinforces that its not just talent but commitment and consistency to do the right thing day in and day out
