The Legends Bumblebee was used last year, *****. That reuse was meant to tie in with the IDW comics. Bumblebee also had Blazemaster in his original release. Also, we had Prime with Roller, Megs with Chop Shop, Screamer with Waspinator, Tailgate with Groundbreaker, and Swerve with Flanker. Also, thanks for reviewing the set! Kudos to you!
Bionicle fans would refer to Bumblebee's color as Keetorange. Named after that yellow/orange color used in great quantities on a character named Keetongu.
The legends Bumblebee was released in the same line as the legends class Skrapnel. There was also an Optimus, Megatron and Starscream and a few more coming out like Cliffjumper and Nemesis Prime. These are meant to go with the IDW looks and also interact with the Titan class Metroplex.
If you mod this figure and paint a black stripe down the middle of the whole top you could put like a Play-Doh spoiler or model spoiler on a car more like from a model car and then make that Bumblebee a tf5 bumblebee if you just replace his arm with a cannon
The "classic" Bumblebee originally came with a little blue helicopter minicon that turned into a gun. It was much more fun than DOTM Jolt's mechtech gun.
The two tabs in the front of the car mode, wich hold the shoulders in place, broke within 5 or 7 transformations in mine. They are very tight and hard to detach son they are going to break sooner or later and that's a big flaw of design. Regardless of that, the car mode still holds the transformation very well.
I hate the easy transformations so much. I understand these toys are geared more towards kids, but c'mon. It makes the figures look like crap. Hasbro needs to release a line that is good for kids that have problems transforming the deluxe, voyager, and leader figures (one-step changers are pretty ugly. I can see why they don't buy them). The fast action battlers from the first two movies was a great line, perfect for kids. The figures didn't look horrible and were easy to transform. If Hasbro started making figures from that line again, everyone would be happy. Kids would have fun toys and collectors would have good looking, movie accurate Transformers.
I agree. I think making the transformations simple is pandering more to the lazy parents that want everything simple for their children. I always felt that Transformers toys thought children Puzzle solving skills. tell me, did you not feel accomplished when you successfully transformed your Optimus Prime or Megatron for the first time? because they are oversimplifying the transformations they are robbing the children of a satisfying transformation, essential puzzle solving skills, and a sense of Accomplishment they would feel when they master their figure.
Titanus Daconus Totally agree. That's the beauty of Transformers, the fun and sense of accomplishment. I used to try to figure them out on my own without the instructions. It's too easy now, and there's no fun in it. This line has been disappointing all around. At least the Generations line is worth buying.
PFM719 Indeed, and thank goodness for that. I think Generations Rattrap is maybe the best one so far. hopefully this won't be a new trend and all the lines are going down the simplified rout.
I liked the original generation 1 toys better because they have more detail than these piece of crap toys that looks like something from a dollar store
and the legends class Bumblebee in this pack is an updated mold because the old one had a darker yellow and had red lights and a red rectangle under the autobot logo!
24:20 You said a few dollars more than retail price. In Toys R Us, Retail price in Australia for a Deluxe figure is $29.99. Bumblebee evolution 2 pack come at a price of $24.99. $5 cheaper than regular AoE figures. You can also get evolution 2 pack of Slug and Strafe at $24.99 each.
I'm not glad your Bumblebee's head doesn't move fluidly, but it's reassuring mine isn't the only one with that slight issue. Same with the panels not really coming together in car mode; seems that was sacrificed for the robot mode. I do wish they'd done something more with the pizza cutters of doom, but oh well. Great review as always!
Um... The bumblebee was from generations legends wave 1... I have no idea how you havent noticed that it's been out for a long time. Not hating, just wondering how you weren't informed of something that has been around for a while.
Do you realize how many figures and things come out? I can't keep track of all of them, plus i don't really buy or collect legend figures much. So naturally, i wouldn't notice it that much.
Paul, I would highly recommend turning autofocus off on your camera and manually focusing. It will help you out much more so you don't have to worry about the camera refocusing while you move the figures around.
Great idea, except what you think would make things easier would actually make them a bit harder. Because i do move the figures around so much on camera, i'd constantly be moving things in and out of focus if i set one particular depth to stay focused on.
I personally think Hasbro should have reused the Mechtech gun they gave the Deluxe class Dark of the Moon Bumblebee figure. It would've made this set better.
Ordered this. It will arrive in a week. Sure hope it doesn't let me down. With all the reviews I've seen of it, I have faith in that this will entertain me. :)
5 pack version differences (from what I can tell based on official pics and displays): painted in Autobot symbols, tail lights, sheet logo, and possibly license plate in vehicle mode. Paint matches plastic better. Black lower edges of side panels in vehicle mode. Black spoiler, and stripe reached all the way to the back of the car. Black forearms, and yellow detailing on thighs.
I have a knockoff version of the concept camaro bumblebee and painted the grill section to look like the tlk camaro (what type of camaro was it) because i kinda prefer the tlk camaro grill over the concdpt one
I just found the small cannon on my bumblebee figure just now. I didn't know that was there when i first bought it. But thanks to this review, i have now found the mini-gun.
Actually the bumblebee figure was from the legends 2-packs w/ targetmasters dealio around a year ago, I think. Just a little bit repainted. Also if this is 22/30 which are the other 21 beforehand?
Hey did you know that if you look closely under bumblebees left arm you see a gun type thing it is a hidden gun you need to rotate the fist down and turn it there is a gun
I watched your review & thought you would like to know that the legends Bumblebee is not a new mold but a repaint of the TF generations legends class Bumblebee & Blazemaster pack from last year, I know because I got him last summer when he came out.
I feel kinda bad that we might not get a proper Stringer figure, because he was basicly efil Cliffjumper transforming into Pagani(?), witch might be little hard to make into a toy, but it would be cool to see because I thought Stinger looket pretty badass
Apart from the Human Alliance Bumblebee and Battle Blade Bumblebee i haven't liked any other movie version of him. Just not impressed with the designs. Nice review Paul.
That Generations Bumblebee is nice little toy while that AoE Bumblebee is first movie Bee that I like. It does look lot better than any previous movie Bee.
Lockdown with Attinger and Steeljaw, Bumblebee with Cade, Crosshairs with Shane, Drift with Tessa, and Hound (not sure about this, considering the human alliance figures were usually characters who had deluxe class figures) with Joshua Joyce would all make awesome figures. Optimus, too.
I'm thinking more along the lines of: Dino w/Dutch Que w/Carly AOE Bumblebee w/Tessa AOE Optimus Prime w/Cade (if possible, considering the size of the truck) Drift (Triple-changer) w/Shane Lockdown w/Attinger and Wolf-thing and Hound w/Joshua Joyce (again, if possible. Maybe as a Ultra-Human Alliance the size of HFTD Battle Ops Bumblebee)
I don't know. I own a Transformers: Dark of the Moon Deluxe Bumblebee, and have for three years now (it was a birthday present in 2011). It IS a great sculpt, and a lot of fun to mess around with, despite it's poor paint apps, but I'd say go for the AOE Bee. I don't own it yet, but every review and picture I've seen has me hooked on getting it, and it's less expensive.
DalekTheSupreme So for someone who really likes the DOTM design, would you say that the figure is a win? The only thing with this one that bugs me is the vehicle form. Doesn't tab together well (Emgo had the same problem), different shades of yellow...
DalekTheSupreme In my opinion I think there is better movie verse Bumblebee mold than those two (Though thats only opinion). It was the Battle Blade Bumblebee mold from the "Hunt For The Decepticons" line that came out in 2010. It used the Revenge of The Fallen design and pretty much incorporated all the cool things Bumblebee had in the films (minus the shoulder cannons briefly seen in the first film). It was an incredibly accurate Deluxe class mold made even better with the cannon, the battle mask, and even the axe he used in the ROTF video game. I highly doubt it'll be in stores since it came out 4 years ago, but I bet you could probably find it on Amazon or Ebay.
BotBrawler9699 The DotM Bumblebee does have a better vehicle mode, and the robot mode is great despite the lack of paint apps. I only recommend the AoE Bumblebee more because 1) it's cheaper, and 2) it has better paint apps in robot mode. It all boils down to which one you like best. Pooran Ramnarine It was great, and this comes from someone who used to own one. However, it's extremely hard to get at a reasonable price nowadays online, and the chances of one hiding in a store somewhere is VERY low. Dark of the Moon Bumblebee is the closest to him.
Ssj Ichigo Because in order to make a Volkswagen Beetle Bumblebee, you have to have the licensing rights, which previously VW hasn't given out to Hasbro to use for the Transformers because of this fact. However, I believe Masterpiece Bumblebee HAS official VW licensing.
tsunaboy yeah, the evasion mode prime also scales better with the newer megatrons than the regular aoe optimus, the evasion mode one also looks more like him in the movie since there are no huge parts on his back
Hey optibotimus you should do a review on deluxe class bumblebee but you did my lil bumblebees arem poped off and it was hard to keep it on so like yo vids :)
13:50 "wish he had more paint"
Oh man, wait until he sees TF5 bumblebee.
Literally all the paint budget went to the front of the car lol
Iron Peace Films Well, we have this new mold bumblebee and I bet he's gonna be Loving that bee.
Shiny Grenninja it look so great I would pay so much for it
the little figure is a repaint of the generations legends one released back in 2013
Yeu
BuschWhacker Reviews now this is used for tf5
I all so buy this toy that is so much better😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌💏💏💏💏💏💏💏💖👙👙👙👙

love this guy no matter what anyone says
What surprised me was not only did the battle mask goes down but the right hand rotates to reveal a blaster.
I hate the easy transformations so much. I understand these toys are geared more towards kids, but c'mon. It makes the figures look like crap. PFM719 for me. It wasn't fun WITH the complex conversions. I'm sixteen and prefer AoE Galvatrons conversion over ROTF long haul.
Optibotimus, the Legends class Bumblebee is over a year old; it's a redeco of the 2013 Generations Legends Bumblebee that came with Blazemaster.
and the legends class Bumblebee in this pack is an updated mold because the old one had a darker yellow and had red lights and a red rectangle under the autobot logo!
24:20 You said a few dollars more than retail price.

Bumblebee evolution 2 pack come at a price of $24.99. $5 cheaper than regular AoE figures.
You can also get evolution 2 pack of Slug and Strafe at $24.99 each.
Is this the same size as the studio series figures?
Yes
What are the odds for this mold to get heavy retool in to Stinger?
I think it's a possibility
Funny side note: AOE Legion Class Stinger has used TFP Cyberverse Knock Out mold for two times and ROTF Legends Class Sidesways mold.
***** honestly, I wouldn't be surprised or upset if they used the Beast Hunters Smokescreen mold for Stinger. it might look good.
Andrew Walters You got idea on it. But my money is on retooled Bumblebee to Stinger idea.
yeah, but they would need a rather extensive shell remold.
It's an officially licensed product by GM and we did get the legends bumblebee seperetly with a WFC colors
Finally I've been seeing so many people review I was waiting for you to review it.
16:44 ''the ball section is weirdly miss-shapen because it like moves'' wow
I think I was just his figure mine is fine
Got mine last week, all I can say is that I can't wait till reprolabels make stickers for him
I'm not glad your Bumblebee's head doesn't move fluidly, but it's reassuring mine isn't the only one with that slight issue. Same with the panels not really coming together in car mode; seems that was sacrificed for the robot mode. I do wish they'd done something more with the pizza cutters of doom, but oh well. 15:38 Reminds me of the scene with Galvatron, "What was that?" haha
Um... The bumblebee was from generations legends wave 1... I have no idea how you havent noticed that it's been out for a long time. Not hating, just wondering how you weren't informed of something that has been around for a while.

Great optibotimus ive got the figure
The g1 bumblebee is the same mold as this thriling thirty thrat was on sale
I personally think Hasbro should have reused the Mechtech gun they gave the Deluxe class Dark of the Moon Bumblebee figure. It would've made this set better.

I meant Chevy logos in vehicle mode
I have a knockoff version of the concept camaro bumblebee and painted the grill section to look like the tlk camaro (what type of camaro was it) because i kinda prefer the tlk camaro grill over the concdpt one
I just found the small cannon on my bumblebee figure just now. I didn't know that was there when i first bought it. But thanks to this review, i have now found the mini-gun.
14:58 the peg on the front of the car mode broke off and got stuck in the right shoulder.
You can see it even better at 15:22
mine has the evolution 2 pack packaging but mine didnt come with the little legends bumblebee but it has his repainted jolt weapon.
Actually the bumblebee figure was from the legends 2-packs w/ targetmasters dealio around a year ago, I think. Just a little bit repainted.
Also if this is 22/30 which are the other 21 beforehand?
Hey did you know that if you look closely under bumblebees left arm you see a gun type thing it is a hidden gun you need to rotate the fist down and turn it there is a gun
anyone else realize that optibotimus forgot about the Thrilling 30 Legends Bumblebee when he mentioned otherwise at 2:42 ?
i wish we got more updated images of the takara version but on the picture now i saw a few cool differences
I think that was the same Bumblebee mold used in the Legends Bumblebee pack.
I watched your review & thought you would like to know that the legends Bumblebee is not a new mold but a repaint of the TF generations legends class Bumblebee & Blazemaster pack from last year, I know because I got him last summer when he came out.
Not cliffjumper, apparently they are repainting bumblebee red for stinger deluxe
I think I have the original mold of the movie Bumblebee from this pack
the high octane bumblebee should have that hand transforming into a gun but the good part ifs that u can change the hands
That legends figure is gens legends bumblebee and it IS cybertronian mode but with headlights
I'm getting the one to where his arm converts to a Fusion Canon! its REALLY cool! and the black arms!
i just picked lockdown and hound from aoe at target. i got bored and prank called target asking for hound and they had cases of him :D
Great review I'm still hunting for this pack. By the way I loved the Happy Gilmore reference. Keep up the great work.
The arm mechanism that you were interested in was the same one from the old toy from the first movie, deluxe Tomahawk.
For the deluxe class bee, u can pull down his battle helmet. Also, u can push his right arm in and his blaster gun pops out.
I feel kinda bad that we might not get a proper Stringer figure, because he was basicly efil Cliffjumper transforming into Pagani(?), witch might be little hard to make into a toy, but it would be cool to see because I thought Stinger looket pretty badass
I got this age of extinction bumblebee on Christmas eve and am loving it
I think I saw this 2 pack at my toys r us over here in the uk but I got the slug 2 pack instead
There is also an studio series one as well
how can u get a flip out cannon on the left arm? is there a 3rd party arm or a custom out there?
Apart from the Human Alliance Bumblebee and Battle Blade Bumblebee i haven't liked any other movie version of him. Just not impressed with the designs. Nice review Paul.
Do you think repo labels will make some stickers for the Transformers 4 models?
are the hips suppose to make clicking when they move on mine both of the legs are tight but one clicks and the other doesn't
i got this figure i love it might just be one of the best bumblebees... but needs more paint i colored the tail lights red
Optibotimus! The legends figure is a repaint of an older one that came with a helicopter called Blazemaster!
This legends B was also sold on its own as a bumblebee.
That Generations Bumblebee is nice little toy while that AoE Bumblebee is first movie Bee that I like. It does look lot better than any previous movie Bee.
I can't find that one version of bumblebee any where
the back side comepared to that master peice bumble be though XD
I have been watching your videos for a little while now I think you're doing very well I like your vid's so thanks for making them
hey Pul do you think there should be a human allience Dino with dutch
that would be awesome! maybe also a Human Alliance Optimus Prime with Cade!
Niall murray IKR! His idea was one that I was thinking of too.
Would be great if they did human alliances for drift and crosshairs and lockdown, the alt modes would be awesome!
I'm thinking more along the lines of:
Dino w/Dutch
Que w/Carly
AOE Bumblebee w/Tessa
AOE Optimus Prime w/Cade (if possible, considering the size of the truck)
Drift (Triple-changer) w/Shane
Lockdown w/Attinger and Wolf-thing
and Hound w/Joshua Joyce (again, if possible. Maybe as a Ultra-Human Alliance the size of HFTD Battle Ops Bumblebee)
Best bumblebee look ever .
Cool looking figure but color on the hand is disappointing. =/
Bumblebee legit copied stinger's robot mode. That's why he has stinger's weapon.
are you working on the review for voyager class slog
Get a red sharpie and go over the tail lights! He looks so much better!
That legends bumble be is actually a slight repaint its about a year old
Cool review. I'll be picking this guy up
I really dig my AOE Bumblebee! ... Even though the High Octane Bee doesn't look as impressive with those scrawny arms.
I kinda feel stupid I already have the ss camero version hoping to get this guy to update my collection more but still awesome review dude
Nice review but the little bumblebee came with a targetmaster in 2013
Actually I think this is the same small Bumblebee that was released with the generations line ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/91sMxLWRFzL._SL1500_.jpg
which transformer toy should i get right now of 2014 Oct 19 which one is the best?!?!
I hope they will use this mold for Stinger
BUMBLEBEE w/ BLAZEMASTER 2013 legends class wave 1, and its the idw bee.
This is so cool I wish I can get it
Should I buy this guy, or pay the extra money to order DOTM Deluxe (not Nitro) Bumblebee ***** ?
Dark of the moon
DalekTheSupreme In my opinion I think there is better movie verse Bumblebee mold than those two (Though thats only opinion). Okay I'm going to go to Edmonton and find this bumblebee
You can only find him at toyrus
edmonton rocks!
You finally got it
Anyone here wished that FOR ONCE a deluxe movie Bumblebee figure can have ball joints on his ankles for better pose ability?
at some point we need to have a real throwback figure for bumblebee and make him a volkswagon beetle
VW doesn't like being associated with War. Seeing as their original co creator was...Adolf Hitler.
Jacob Hill whats that have to do with toys?
Ssj Ichigo Because in order to make a Volkswagen Beetle Bumblebee, you have to have the licensing rights, which previously VW hasn't given out to Hasbro to use for the Transformers because of this fact. However, I believe Masterpiece Bumblebee HAS official VW licensing.
What about the cannon blaster?
Jo opti are you thinking to buy that new camaro?
no we gotten the legends bumblebee before just with some red.
try to pop off is head because is battle mask can cover is face and give him a super badass look... you just need to push the mask all is way down!
18:45 i think the cannon is suppøse to be like " cramed." inside his arm on the movie
I love the way this looks they are both awsome figures
Tell me I should buy tf4 High Octane bumblebee or tf4 yellow Bumblebee?
Sanchit Agarwal high octane
OK thanks bro
Sanchit Agarwal both
should i get ths or should i save up a bit more for voyager prime evasion mode?
OK THNKS!
tsunaboy yeah, the evasion mode prime also scales better with the newer megatrons than the regular aoe optimus, the evasion mode one also looks more like him in the movie since there are no huge parts on his back
Hey,nice review I looked for this guy at Walmart and target, maybe I'll look at toys r us next, anyways keep up the good reviews!
optibotomus bumblebee's left hand has a cannon. press on his arm and turn it
Ts the right hand
Hey optibotimus you should do a review on deluxe class bumblebee but you did my lil bumblebees arem poped off and it was hard to keep it on so like yo vids :)
Does anyone know when the autobot alliance pack will be released?
This Design of Bumblebee is honestly My Favorite.
he just looks SO Cool! :-)
Cool review nice work
where did you get it how much did it cost
Bumblebees new ride in transformers 4 is fricken sexy
