The word “Zia” in Greek means “light, divine, splendor,goddess, and has a similar meaning in Arabic (shine) and Hebrew (radiant) so I’ve always thought of Halazia as hearts awakened live alive in the light. Kq put Halazia as their “filler” after guerilla world episode 1 album. They didn’t expect it would do sooo well. Atinys went crazy over this song and mv. Albums were sold out everywhere and kq couldn’t reprint on time. It was a massive shortage. I think kq underestimated Halazia. So Halazia is supposed to be your light, your purpose and your “why”. So when a person hit their rock bottom and they are at their darkest moment in life… you hang on to your why as to why you want to get up and keep going …. Find your Halazia…. Hang in there , you will find your Halazia…..
Halazia is such a queen, for me it's one of their top choreos and it's also the moment where the demon line started consisting of 8 members (if you watch their individual fancams for Halazia, you'll see how everyone goes crazy for this performance) lorewise, I'm not sure how much info we actually have about Halazia, imo it goes into the time frame between the end of Deja Vu and Say My Name, which is when Yeosang sacrificed himself to send the boys to World A and got stuck in World Z alone. It fits with Yeo being in chains and Yunho being inside of the cromer supposedly fighting against time since, in that point of the story, he was in an inside battle about whether he should save his brother from dying in the car crash or going back to World Z to save Yeosang. And about the kids that appear in the prologue, end of MV and epilogue, you're gonna find out more about them soon, in the diaries from The World: Outlaw and The World EP Fin, so hold on tight!
You really need to check out the demon line and their fancams, these boys are stellar and theatrical performers. I have never seen anything like them, especially San. His duality is insane. His fancams are under the top 100 most viewed fancams of kpop.

Halazia live is one of the best things to witness. Ok Atiny, who of us were there for the iconic live before they dropped this album? For any new Atiny, before they dropped this album they went live. It was just the scene with the escalator and the bell. For 30 minutes that was all there was. Nothing else. No explanation. Just that. But we all stayed. Honestly we were all so invested after that. We had to know what was happening.

Halazia really is just *that* song, and is 100% the song and video that made me become a stan. My favorite raps from Hongjoong and Mingi, Yunho's passionate vocals, Yeosang's deep voice, San's acting and choreo, just *everything* Jongho does, Seonghwa's visual and performance, Wooyoung's dancebreak... every moment of this song and video had me enthralled from the very start.

YeoSang is stuck in Strictland. See him in chains here in HALAZIA represents when he was captured by the guardians. He is witnessing all that Z and the guardians are doing to the people while ATEEZ are trying to come back. The prologue mentions the ring of bells. This is the sound heard at the end of the diaries in Fever EP. So the Witness is YeoSang. The 4 people at the cookie of guerrilla and this 1 person here many of us are now thinking are a presence mentioned in the GH2 diaries which you’ll get to.
Halazia will be forever iconic and special in every Atiny's heart ig. Thanks to this song i decided to become an Atiny. I was thinking about getting rest for a while as a fangirl. Then i found their compilation videos, at first it was just for fun and i have no intention to get into a new group. A few days later, they drop Halazia MV (for me, it was out of nowhere). I remember watching it for the first time i was so mesmerized, i'm soooo in love with the song, the MV, the lyric and the concept at the first sight. So i'll be forever thankful to Halazia existence, cause after that i'm falling deep into the rabbit hole of ATEEZ 😄
So fun(?) fact about the first Halazia performance you watched. That was the last (or second to last) time we've seen Jongho wearing a head mic. During that performance he said that because he wasn't using a hand mic to help ground him, he got lost in the choreo and forgot he needed to hold back to save his breath for his high notes and went full out. He ended up with a headache that was verging on a migraine and had to miss the fansign that they had after. He had been sent back to their dorm to rest. He got onto their messaging app to apologize to Atiny for missing the fansign and promised to do better, and the reassure everyone that he was doing okay since we were kinda freaking out when they announced he would be missing the event. Ever since then he has used a hand mic and we might never see him with a head mic again. Really shows how demanding their choreo is, which makes their performances even more impressive.

Not sure if posting this today was a happy coincidence or you actually knew that it's the two year anniversary of Halazia's release...in any case, Happy Halaversary! ☺ Like you, the remixes are not really for me. The added instrumentals in them are way too overpowering for my taste. Halazia however is a shining gem of a song, pretty much my number two of the whole discography.
I think the dance break at the end of Halazia is partly why this hit so hard because we know Ateez does insane outro dance breaks but this was a total 'turn up to 11' moment.
This album was supposed to be just a filler (reason for the remixes that almost no one remembers because meh) but then Halazia happened… they did not expect that it would become such a favorite 😂 And agreed, the intros and outros are out of this world.. would love an commemorative album with all of them together
