Recently got into the game… early 1.0 content is a bit rough with phoned-in VA and mid story, but the last two areas leading into 2.0 have been really fantastic. As a F2P player the game is very generous and pulling and obtaining limited characters is very doable by just playing the game, so spending money is definitely not a requirement to enjoy it.

@@s4yto to be fair you can complete the tutorial and first two dogshit acts in like under an hour, and starting from act 3 things do pick up a lot and its nowhere near as bad but… yeah, the new player experience does leave a bad first impression.

One thing I'd mention is that 2.0 really upped their music game as well, most of the 2.0 tracks are incredible!
Especially "Dancing Through Fantasies" is a masterpiece
It's a game first gacha second. Top tier action combat, fun exploration, cinematic story and ton of boss fights. Really cool game that's keep improving extremely fast. Each new patch adds a lot of new stuff and bring things to new level. Devs are implementing feedback nonstop. 1.0 is a bit rough so try to get to 1.1 (Mt. Firmament). The story gets much better from that point.
Except if you want to play specific character and its unobtainable because its gacha garbage fomo or even better, because its unpopular and doesn't sell well, devs dont care about its balance to make it anything more than low tier meat shield thats replaced by any free character any time. As a game itself, its pretty good, still too much mobile shit.

It's a free to play game so don't knock it until you try it. It's a gacha game yeah but it's quality's almost like a Triple A game.
It's terrible to play as f2p. Played for a month, saved everything, tried to pull a limited banner and got some random unit on the pity. "Oh but if you spend another s-ton of currency you can get a guaranteed summon next time!".
Nah these games are all p2p trash. Be prepared to pay or use whatever generic low power units the game gives you.

@mufasafalldown8401 Yeah you're definitely lying, Kuro is extremely generous when it comes to their currency and you quite literally can make 160 asterite every day by doing dailies in 5 minutes at most, not to mention you're literally given a free 5 star for your account which is something you failed to mention and also the free Sanhua outfit that you get just by playing an event.

@@BluntWizzYes you're lying when you say it's not F2P friendly, my cousin quite literally is F2P casually and has pulled multiple main banners.. don't blame the game for your laziness, there's plenty of events to do to give you enough asterite for a banner and I know because I did them BUT if you want to their most F2P friendly game they make it's Punishing Gray Raven and it's the best gacha out there and genuinely the best combat system ever made in a video game.
This game is a blast, no need to spend a dime TBH you can sink 100 hours easily just doing the content and you'll earn a few 5 star heros and items for free

In terms of exploration and combat i could agree, in terms of story wuwa still needs a lot of work.
The 1.0 and 1.1 story were complete trash, but Kuro did step up and the 2.0 story aint bad but not great either. It feels like the game is missing a big main plot at this point. But as i said before, and i've played a fair amount of gacha games, the gameplay is peak and is probably the best we have in the genre by far.

People out here really belittling this game just cuz its gacha, yet you pay 100$ for triple AAA games and you get nothing for it.
I rather pay small amounts for a good live service game than say needing to dumb 60-100$ for a trash AAA game.
Buying modern triple A title is like gambling, you have no idea if the game is actually good or shit.
You could put $100 into Wuthering Waves and have more fun than buying most new AAA games that cost $100.

@@BluntWizz Not really, there's plenty of Gacha games that are fun even with minimal investment(or none) and anddtionally considering the Indie scene is has better quality these days then most triple A games.
I decided to join Wuwa in 2.0 and let me say this. The 1.0 content is Really Poorly handled.
Poor dialogue, voice acting, low-fi music choices, and the auto-play cutscene mode is Really poorly implemented.
In contrast, it has, Amazing Combat and Smooth exploration and traversal, with a satisfying artifact farming system which isn't resin gated.
Now, 2.0 content on the other hand, is an Entirely Different Game altogether.
2.0 is a Final Fantasy inspired open world combat game, with Sekiro/Souls like combat.
The cutscenes are Beautiful, the music is very Fantasy like, almost out of Frieren.
The voice acting and cinematography in cutscenes is Outstanding.
Characters are Memorable, relatable and enjoyable to be with.
The exploration is Amazing! The freedom of movement is so liberating that I felt like I was playing Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Flight, Boat riding, The Flash Zooming, and weird Hulk like Teddy bear leaping.
All in all, I have Thoroughly enjoyed Wuwa 2.0 and would Highly recommended it to anyone on the fence.

Man I really enjoyed the game for about a month when it released then stopped playing. Might have to check it out again!
For an average gamer the 1.0 score you gave is probably about right. As someone who's played a lot of gacha, I think Wuwa's 1.0 was like a 7/10 personally, but I totally agree on the 2.0 score. I wish I could go back and play 2.0 for the first time again because I enjoyed it that much.

As time past the rating went up slowly and u can see the potential as they add more things from player requests though out the 1.0-1.4 patches
and 2.0 just blew it out of the water and i cant wait for the next big patch every 6 months. kuro deserve the glazes they made the game fairly for f2p to enjoy and they actually implement changes from players every single update.

@@LuZErTXnot really, being gacha is usually a problem to make the game p2w and it’s been obvious since the first month of wuwaves being out. To deny this is dumb when on release Jiyan did the most damage out of ALL characters you could pull and the difference between a unit at 0star, 2star and 6star can be upwards of an extra 100%+ damage. How do you get more stars? PULL THE CHARACTER MORE BY SPENDING OR SAVING FOR MONTHS.

I've been playing since day one and the amount of improvements the game has gotten is impressive. Yes, it is a gacha game so thats always a negative, but if you can get past that and control your gambling impulses, then you will find a very good game, one of the best in the genre (and yes, it is 100% f2p friendly). I as many, started in these kind of games with Genshin Impact, but after years of eating shit from that dev team and enduring fucking Paimon (and the horrendously repulsive community), Wuthering Waves has been a paradigm shift we didn't know we needed.
Like gachas/collecting waifus? Play Wuthering Waves, Nikke and Zeneless Zone Zero. You don't need anything else.
These devs clearly care about the game.
Most games don't get new content added like this. And for free.
Started playing because my older sons both play, and I really liked Roccia, so I told myself if I managed to pull her with my new player bonus pulls, I'd stick with it. Low and behold, beginners luck was on my side and I got her and the weapon, and have been enjoying the game a lot. Early story is meh, but it gets better later.
The comments clearly show their ignorance towards mobile games.
Sad that there's lots of people who judge the game just because it's gacha game and generalizing it as a paid to win predatory gacha game..

@@christiabayu3325It's mainly in the west, but sadly can't really blame them. Force Gaming mainly covers PC/console games, and players have had a long and awful experience with scummy and predatory stuff like lootboxes and such, which pretty much inspired by the aforementioned gachas, being shoved into full-priced games who back then have no business having that kind of system.
If I never played gacha games myself, then seeing/hearing a game with similar stuff, I also wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
I mean that how western see gacha, they yell about it but spend thousands on skins and cosmetic while trying to justify it that it has value. Now League is copying this gacha stuff without giving free currency like actual gacha games. they became more predatory compared to usual gacha games

I find snowbreak better as a gacha game. Far more generous, for about 5 dollars each month you are nearly guaranteed to get all new characters, free 5* stars frequently, and 100% banners and.. I could go on. Note that I said best gacha, not best game.

Some of you guys are so funny, especially the ones who knew what WuWa is and is trying to just crap on Force. The video is titled after WuWa. It's not like Force named this video "This game SURPRISED me" or some other dumb clickbait title. If you're not interested in WuWa, then you can just watch some of Force's other videos or just any other video that isn't sponsored or w/e tickles your fancy.
First gacha game ive gotten hooked on. Biggest negative is a lot of the grind is time gated after you finish story quests, but its still fun to play for 30 mins a day even f2p
it wont be long before you got more materials than you can ever know what to do with, so don't worry too much about the grind.

And why would they give him b-roll in an unreleased version of the game? Because the highlighted stats echoes is not something we have in the game in 2.0… so yeah, maybe, but I find it unlikely that they decided to provide b-roll that also leaks 2.1 purposefully. The most likely option imo is that they provided a test account and forgot to mention not to show Brant’s echo menu or something of the sort. Also those echoes have sus substats.

Been playing Wuwa since 27th of May last year (5 days after release), I own every character, a lot of the sig weapons, all my limited 5-stars are built to utmost perfection. 100% owning all trophies. Something about this game is constantly giving me chill vibes, it's a place where you can calm down and be captivated by the environment. Never regretted spending my time and money in this game as it is definitely easily a triple A game for me and a leader-defining in the genre of gacha games. Wuwa is not just simply a gacha game, it's a feeling, passion, determination combined altogether.

Just recently came back for 2.0. Kuro have done a really good job of limiting powercreep in the game so far, between that; characters being fairly easy to build and weapon banners not being 50/50 this has made it feel like a fairer gacha game. They've cooked up some great story for both the MSQ and companion quests. Animators put a lot more effort in than some other similar games. Combat and exploration is fun. Yes, it's still a gacha game at the end of the day, but that doesn't mean it can't still be a good game as some other people would like to try and make out.

2.0 update has been phenomenal. Best high budget gacha out there.
I haven't spent a single cent on this game and I'm enjoying it fully. You don't need to spend to acquire expansions. Sure, if you want ALL the limited characters you can spend, but it's never required and the game gives you enough currency for free to get most of the characters anyway. But my advice is if you want to play completely free, just get the characters that look cool to you. Don't need to worry about meta.
Imma say this, there is a specific type of enemy in Rinacita which kills themselves whne their health is below 50 or 40% of max hp, and they heal us before dying. I kinda avoid them cuz it hurts killing them. Fun open world

While I always appreciate more publicity for WuWa, I don't think this will have much impact.
Your audience seems to be made of "traditional gamers", and that audience DESPISES anything tied to gacha games.
No matter what they hear (including from open-minded players who play everything), they'll keep hating it with all their guts.

It's kinda crazy how Kuro gave him 2.1 build before even any marketing
Started last December, struggling as a newbee as I don't know wtf I was doing which normal in any new game you got into. In less than a week, learns the basic mechanics, skills/stats/combo/dodging/counter/outro/intro/role(DPS,Sub,Sup)/echos, all those time while running Rover+YangYang+Baizhi lineup as a newbee.
After I understand more, start looking at banners, strategizing for my main lineup, pulled Calcharo from selector because he looks cool af, struggles af trying to understand his kit and combos and to make it works, after 3 days playing him, starts feeling good and decides to put him as main DPS. Then trying to get verina from beginners banner that we got discounts for, but pulled Jiaxin at 50/50 I think, stop pulling because after reading her kit, I saw heal and shield, so I put her as support, starts clearing contents. 2.0 came out, continue playing everyday after that, didn't touch the new banners accept Jinhsi weapon for Calcharo. Still didn't spent a dime and planning to continue doing so. Now just waiting for Shorekeeper's banner as my 5 star main support**cough**waifu**cough. What a game.

Yeah some of the ones commenting saying "This feels like an ad" just have absolutely no clue how groundbreaking Kuro is when it comes to gacha.
You can quite literally be F2P and pull banners and every SINGLE day you can get a 1 pull simply by doing a 5 minute daily but there's tons of events you can do in a week to get enough for a 10 pull or more and you get a free 5 star simply for playing.
The music is god tier and they started that with Punishing Gray Raven which is hands down the best combat ever made (Yes im serious, as a DMC fan my entire life PGR has the greatest combat of all time and its a gacha)
They listen to fan feedback and frequently offer compensation for errors or simply updates in general
This is not normal, people.. most gacha game making companies put money over innovation but Kuro is genuinely different and deserve all their success and I kid you not that when I play PGR they make mini games that even make Chess and Tetris an absolute blast with their own spin on things.

But hear me out, it is a free game, you can try it. The game should give you enough pulls at the start to reach the guarantee for one 5* character. Just try it out if you have free time.

Having never seen Wuthering Waves, it looks pretty interesting. The Echo system, in particular, looks pretty cool, and the combat nice and fluid, as does the traversal.
If you like open world exploration puzzle platforming Pokemon anime complex combat dark souls. . . Well this game is a little bit of all of that. What are the coolest parts of this game is finding the random crazy puzzles that like flip your understanding of what this game has to offer when it suddenly throws you into what feels like a completely different game or genre all together. It's absurd I have not been able to put this game down since I picked it up 2 weeks ago I Am almost 300 hours deep already

I 100% recommend the game, for anyone interested to play it, I will say that give it a chance at least till you starts the main quest in Huanglong. 1.0 quest is definitely the weakest part of the game, but it gets amazing a few hours in, and 2.0 is literally cinema, amazing areas and quests.
Also, dont sweat the gacha too much, there are people doing the "endgame" content of the game with 1 low rarity solo character, and some of them do it while using only 1 hand, using a guitar controller, blindfolded, etc, so your rooster of characters will not really gate you out of any content.
eastern gacha is still better than most western AAA these days lol
and a lot of small scale indies out there put both of those to shame

ok so just so y'all know I play the game since release and have every single 5star ssr whatever you wanna call it as a free to play not a single penny spent, that's cuz they give you so much currency like so much every patch
I like that we get some new mysterious stuff, like the Echo having a yellow highlight, possibly a substat selector feature, i just hope that we can get the material needed more than through limited events only, like in PGR you can get it by doing weeklies and trade that weekly currency for the selector (resonance) material, so you are definitely gonna have at least 1 selector per week.

Black shores: 10/10
Rinascita 2.0 : 9.5/10
The rest of 1.0 : 7/10
I joined in 1.4 with the Black Shores story and I am very glad by far I think to this day 1.4 Black Shores story its beating hard Rinascita story, but Rinascita takes big W for massive zone, great music, new echoes, bosses and so on.
As someone relatively new to gacha, WuWa with the 2.0 update is the closest thing for a gacha that made me feel like I'm playing a AAA non-gacha game. From the dynamic environment, story-presentation, and other aspects. It's not perfect, I think the weakest part is the 1.0 story-line. I also think the Echo exp grind is annoying. Yes better than its competition but could still be far better. That region introduction has the same level if not honestly better than region intro I've played from AAA non-gachas.
I'm kinda surprised to see Kuro sponsor you and I'm quite happy for it as you did justice on weighing the pros and cons. One thing to point though, you should've tried and showed Hologram bosses cause those are actually challenging.
For people absolutely averse to gacha and has addiction tendencies, i don't recommend touching any gacha. but for those who can control themselves, I highly recommend it. If you have patience, play the entirety of 1.0 before going to Rinascita. But if you want to see the best of WuWa and don't want to deal with the mediocrity of 1.0 then I suggest skip to Rinascita after Act 3.

6:14 just to say, the forte IS the heavy hitter!! It's just different with each character, some it heals, some sheilds, some do big damage. It IS the core of a character, just to inform.
Also, the intro/outro skills is good to fill yes but sometimes it takes a long time so there are quickswaps! And that makes the combat, richer.

While this video is a pretty good overview of the game, i doubt your subscribers are the target audience for this type of game. I love Wuthering Waves, but this is still a Gacha and most people have their mind set that these games are all bad and the same type. Idk, i'd avoid putting up sponsored video of Gachas and focus on the games you usually follow and play.

I know this is a nitpick but every time i hear someone call it "withering" it hurts my soul. English may be a weird language with strange pronunciation sometimes but that just makes it even more painful to hear someone mispronounce a word that sounds exactly like how it's written.
Wuwa getting the recognition that it deservers, unlike other games within the same genre that bombard you with ads and don't deliver.
Never heard of it and I am primarily on PS5, the game has never even popped up on my PlayStation. Will check this out for sure.

Have been playing this game every day since release. It's a blast. The music, characters & the world is so great. I really recommend to give it a try.
I don't get the soul-less comments. It's clear Force gave time to this game. When he clearly listed the stuff he has played through, I mean I just refuse to believe kuro actually gave him all these in advance you have to go do these side quests and explore and engage with the games systems to do these, easily missable if you just race through the main story. Sure it's clear he hasn't done absolutely everything but he really covers what wuwa offers (mostly) each patch.
He may not have built these characters but being sponsered and actually going in to play a huge chunk of it, huge props.

You haven't tried it for yourself yet and your already speaking some nonesense, listen here you so called triple A gamers, this game despite being a gacha but it's actually one of the most generous gacha game so stop acting as if you know the game so well when you haven't play it yourself and you can also clear the contents in the game without paying, it's not like the devs wants you to spend a hundred dollars on the game just like how you spend your money to a triple A game, and not every triple A is a good game some of them are worst, imagine paying 50$ - 100$ but the game is shit (some of them)
Game has a mega high production value, is fluid, but for some reason didn't hook me 6 months ago. Maybe it's because of the somewhat childish dialogue (every character is a teenager it seems) or that in the first 20 hours I was no where near dying. Very solid game though.

I'm not a fanboy; I play (on console) Genshin, WuWa and several other (including non gacha) games and WuWa is really great for so many aspects that are important to me like open world exploration / traversal and enjoyable fights. Also been really lucky with my pools so far which helps

Neutral until the 9:20 mark where the expected negative toxic monetisation of GATCHA games is covered. After Genshin it'll need to be different/better and fairer.

You can have fun in it even if you forget about the gacha. For me the gacha is just the cherry on top. 😊

I just caught up with the game this past month. Very fun and well designed from a gameplay perspective. Also quite F2P friendly. Honestly my biggest gripe is there is a bit too much RNG with echoes. Having an item that allows you to pick an echo's main stat at least would be nice (obviously it would be event reward/BP item as it is a gacha after all).
The only gacha game i am playing seriously u guys should try it everything after 1.0 are better
