damn! basketball in the 90s, it was a tidal wave across the globe, in Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America, people were playing basketball. our heroes were M Jordan , Shaquille Oneil , Magic Johnson , Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen
Playing to win 'Cause you're shootin for the big-time Moving ahead Cuttin' lose in double-overtime Score at the top Time to turn up the heat Got a pass-back jump-shot Ain't nobody gonna beat Bringin' 'em down Just a few to go Take em one by one, Gonna let 'em know Work the ball Looks like you got 'em beat Now clear the courts, these guys are gonna meltdown!
This is the definitive version of this song... It's amazing 🤩 sounds crisp and clear compared to the arcade version. Thanks a Lot for sharing 🙏 Btw here ☝️ a fan of Street Hoop videogame since 1995 👍🏀, for me best basketball videogame ever, in the best NBA basketball era 😎
Nah this is just the sound of the mid 90s in the USA as interpreted by japanese video game music composers. A LOT of game soundtracks had this old-school hip-hop vibe going on back then lol.... And JazzyNYC99 doesn't have any lyrics... This game also predates 3rd strike by like half a decade... Street hoop is closer in age to SSF2T than SF3...
2020 February. First time hearing. I cry. Thank you.

The best version Very high quality
This sounds like a cross between _Sonic CD's_ PalmTree Panic Past Theme and _Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike's_ The Longshoreman. Love it! 😍🎶
You have great taste in music if you know both of those songs/soundtracks.
Yes Indeed 🤙🏾💯🎶🎧⚡️
I swear I thought I was the only one
This game is all my life and this music always make me confident when am playing. Am dropping some tears of joy. 🥲
2022. Still loving neo geo games and all the amazing soundtracks
Playing to win
'Cause you're shootin for the big-time
Moving ahead
Cuttin' lose in double-overtime
Score at the top
Time to turn up the heat
Got a pass-back jump-shot
Ain't nobody gonna beat
Bringin' 'em down
Just a few to go
Take em one by one,
Gonna let 'em know
Work the ball
Looks like you got 'em beat
Now clear the courts,
these guys are gonna meltdown!
2024 anyone?
This remastered version could have been better but it misses the "Hop Hop Hop Hop Hop" chorus during the intro
Saying that capcom didn't copy this is like saying that Vanilla Ice didn't copy Queen.
I miss the 90s 😃
X2 ❤️ the 90s, best era ever! 👍
this game remind me all good vibes..... my childhood and teenage....... when i went to school.....b
Los recuerdos nunca mueren.
X2 hermano 👍

#SNK4EVER
#NEOGEO ❤
How did i never hear this version before?
Dope. So breezy.
Great job!
Thank you!
Who did the vocals on these tracks? I only know the JP composers
It think it might have been mr k dynamite?.
Haaaaaaaaa! Jump shot!!
A Smash Ultimate remix would make Funky Heat sound somewhat 80s disco with hip hop.
I was kind of hoping this song would've been in the KOF stage, hahahah.
@@BeautyThief87 Well I did a Smash Ultimate Custom BGM with this song, though it's on Wuhu Island.
@@RedDasher Oh MAN. Do you have a video of that? that'd be SICK to watch!!!
@@BeautyThief87 already posted it since
@@RedDasher Really late reply my man - but I checked it out like, a second after posting that reply. Was great.
Child's memories...
Name song
Capcom rip off this for jazzy jazz (sf3)

@@benaldo138 This track *does* sound suspiciously like The Longshoreman in _SF3: Third Strike._
