Man, can’t believe you’ve been teaching for this long!
Thank you random guy on UA-cam for helping me with algebra cause i forgot simple math 😂
4leaf CLOVER You’re lucky 🍀 I don’t even know how to do simple math
Same.
Me too 😂
Mee too, I forgot fractions like and unlike and multiplication and ➗ on decimals 😂
Same, just happened to me.
Thank you for reminding and I know its embarassing for a 15 yr old who forgot the simples lesson in math😂
Same
Hahahahahah
i'm 16 and I also forgot how (such a shame)😂
@@francyn_onio I literally thought -1 7/8 + 2 was 7/8, I was mad trippin
i COULNT agree more
Every summer I feel dumber, I’m usually the smart person among all the gangsters wannabes but just after watching 10 math videos a day I start feeling more confident
you don't need to be a math teacher or have a math degree to find a simpler way to solve this. Thank you for your input and giving students another method to solve. I chose this method because we were working on adding numbers by having them get the same denominator.
Don’t add denominatir
this video has the mistake of adding the two denominators, thank you for pointing that out, embarrassing mistake. I will correct. Thank you!
yes I just noticed but its ok everyone makes mistakes
Brian McLogan it's okay it really help me though
UNACCEPTABLE, Redo this video Now middle-aged YOUNG MAN!
Car Los everyone makes mistakes stop being so rude!!!!!
It's okay everyone makes mistakes no one is perfect
Correction: its 28 over 3(LCD) so reduce its 9 1/3 right?
Dude you’re an absolute life saver! Thanks a million!!
I just took my asvab few days ago and I used your videos to learn some math though I was not bad at math but coming to the states from Kenya there is a big difference on what u learn here and what we learned long story short I learned alot from your videos and I passed with an AFQT of 70 and GT score of 110 thanks once again
Great job!
wow thanks man!!!!
alot of teachers in school and on youtube dont explain this as well as you do
keep up the good work
thank you, please take note of the mistake in the video though as well
haha I know did you see my annotation? Don't know where it came from. Thanks for looking out
Why you don't use LCM for the final step??
*_2019 anyone?_* Also you added the denominators don't worry we all make mistakes.
2021 here
2021 bro
I don't think you add the denominators but this really helped!! Thank you !
no you do not hahaha, embarrassing mistake
Thank you brain Mc.Logan helped me out a lot🤟🏽👍🏽
Im not a teacher but adding 4/3 + 8 = 9 1/3. Simplifying 4/3 = 1 1/3 and adding 1 1/3 + 8 = 9 1/3. (You add the whole numbers and leave the fraction as is)
When adding 2 fractions with the same denominator, we only add the numerators and the denominator stays the same in this case, adding 4/3 + 24/3 = 28/3 = 9 1/3
Lulu10821 that’s what I thought too I’m really confused.
that's what I also thought, I'm confused when he added the denominators
I think it's 28/3 am I right or not ? please I need answer
yes!!!!!!!!!
Brian McLogan Thanks 😊
You re right
yes u are
i am grade 7
its 28/3 you are wrong
Thanks!!helped a lot!!
you are very welcome Ethan!
Thanks for this video!! It helps me so much!!
you are very welcome! happy to be able to assist you
Really helpful thanks :D
you are very welcome!
Tomorrow is my math test so Thanks soooo much for making this video, this helped me alot! Hopefully I don't forget because I have a bad habit of forgetting things when I'm nervous xD Thanks again! 😊
best of luck
I am so removed from thinking about any math for years but even i was like wait what.. doesn't it just stay thirds 😂
thanks math dude for helping me do quarantine hw :)
this has helped me very much!!
why and how did you get the 3/3 to be multiplied to the numerators and denominators
You really helped me with my homework with this thanks a lot
For anyone wondering
When adding two fractions with the same denominator, you keep the denominator the same
So 4/3+24/3=28/3
Which is 9 1/3
Oh gosh thank you so much this helped me so much ahhaa i got stuck and spent a whole day on a question till i came across this video and this helped how to get to the second bit anyway thankyou so much
you are very welcome! glad I could help
thank you for helping me with me fractions i forgot it 💕 stay safe stay home
thanks for teaching!
very very helpful thank you.
Thanks I had to come back to this video this video helps a lot ! I’m only in 6 grade
We dont add the denominator :)) the denominator will stay the same
yes, it is noted in the comments, annotation was deleted
The mistake is so ez I shouldn't have looked for the comments, you added the denominaters
Do u have to multiply both of them.. I’ve been doing this wrong???
I have home work and it says what do you add 23/4 to make 6 and I am confused and no one in my family knows how to do it
if you are showing this to a class i recommend using much larger numbers and make the numbers thicker unless you are only trying to teach those in the front row
I thought- either I have to re-learn everything I know or he slipped up. You are still THE BEST!
amazing this helped me alot thank you so much btw I'm a new subscriber
Thank you for helping me study random man :)
I think we don't add the denominator sir. I get confused. If they have the same denominator we should copy it right?
A lesson in fractions or, a lesson in don’t believe everything you see on UA-cam! Always read the label people.
haha yes, tried to make it clear in the title and comments
its really helpful thanks!
you are very welcome!
I'm here cuz I forgot basic math lol thx🧍♀️
Thks!!
This helped a lot thanks 😊
Happy to help!!
you must always leave the demnominators the same
yes!!!!!!
What are you adding the denominator keep the 6 the same
"chris u need some help?"
1:37 Yes, I found the mistake! Why did you add the numerators and the denominators? Just add the numerators right?
How did you get 4 and 2/3
Thanks!
I would have believed your answer in case when I saw the denominator you added, I was surprised😱 because I knew the denominator should be copied when added ...✌️👍👍👍
i kid you not i am in 10th grade and i suddenly forgot how to do this basic shit from 3rd grade, so thank you kind stranger
Your method is just the way I would have done it if I was solving that problem. My concern however was that the answer is wrong. We are adding 8 to a positive number and getting an answer that is less than 8 (in your answer, 4 2/3). I was only trying to point out where the mistake was i.e adding 2 numbers with the same denominator, we only add the numerators and denominator stays the same
Have you read the title.
Oh wait 9 years ago
thanks. I've learned a lot
You should remove this video and repost the problem with it worked correctly
>:(
I corrected my error using an annotation, I have hundreds of videos of me doing similar problems correctly. It was an embarrassing mistake but if anything should remind all of us to be careful
@@brianmclogan + it shows how anyone can make a dime mistake and it will teach the user what NOT to do and the importance of double checking on tests and so forth
True its confusing,I came here to been shown how to properly solve the problem.
I think your jealous
She's jealous
So guys ,this video shows you what not do with fractions , never add the denominators only add the numerators .And leave the denominators the same when doing the addition.
@HoliCrapCaek happy to help!
Your Welcome!
Thank you so much by explaining this to me. I am just a little bit confused in that. I am a student of class 7 so I was just studying it.
you are very welcome! it is confusing to most high schoolers as well
Ohk
Thank u sooo much I have to correct my test and I had no idea what I was doing and I also have another test tomorrow so thank u and fingers crossed for me
you got this!
Difficult to see the font on whiteboard.
These could be much more useful employing a shorter , step-by-step method.
Logically: if we have 8 chocolates and we add over 1 more (4/3) then we are going to have at least 9 chocolates and not 4.
Helped me with my algebra
Thank you sir
Thanks for helping me get my homework question wrong (didn't read the MISTAKE part)
thank you mr person
How come the denominator is 6? we don't add 3+3 if denominators are the same we just keep the same number. In this case, the denominator should be 3, not 6.
The right answer is "28/3" we can't reduce this fraction to its lowest term.
Do a how to subtract a whole number from a fraction
just put the whole number over one like 7 as 7/1 then follow the steps follow the same steps to finding the common denominators. here is a playlist of more examples ua-cam.com/play/PL0G-Nd0V5ZMqdQcEgG2z5-bpuVyZcQBTa.html
28/3 or 9 1/3
I prefer 28/3
It's not just about what you prefer,
it's about what is more acceptable sir. 28/3 is improper fraction and 9 1/3 is more acceptable. 😊
There is something wrong because once u have the common denominator you don't add or subtract them you leave them the way they r.
Im always going to watch maths things in here so fast to understand....
mistake of adding two denominators.
23/8 but we need it to lowest term so the final answer is 9 1/3
Exactly
thx so much helped a lot
you are very welcome! happy to be able to assist you
You don’t add denominators
Tq so much sir I have a test today so
I don't think bottom number can add together😂😂
9.3 with a . on the top of digit 3 # (⇒9.3333333→∝)
The denominatator stays the same you don't add them together
you found it
We have a end of the year test and I wasn’t here when we learned this! Thanks
this is embarrassing cause i learned this years ago and i’m still here :o
Very helpful
awesome!
Syete ka mandi amor!! 😅😂 9 1/3 is the answer
The denomenator shoude'nt be added lol
i think have a mistake in denominator have common denominator 3 the answer 28/3 and then simplify 9 1/3
yes mistake is noted in the comments, embarrassing thanks for letting me know
i understand sir sometimes cant avoid to get mistake...
for sure
thanks a lot this will help me pass in my final exam of math
same lol
*That adding the denominator thinggy ruin my exam*
U guys already got exams?
Now can you do 16/4 plus 56- (3+4)-1... 😂😂😳...im six years behind ..
After watching this, i find another video due to it made me confused why he add the denominator. But atleast, you've point out on the comment box that there was a mistakes upon adding the denominator.
Hey pls tell me how did you convert it to mixed at end
3 divides in 14, 4 times with a remainder of 2
Hrishita Juvekar did your teacher not teach you
Matthew Cooper there is a reason i asked a question and some children like understanding the concept one chapter early
I think it's 9.3333 or 9 and 1/3 is the answer how it is possible that 8 plus 4/3 becomes less than 8??
wait who are you looking at people in the room the board or the camera?!
Thanks :)
you are very welcome!
Thanks
you are very welcome!
It's wrong adding maths eg 4+24 28 but 3+3 won't use here. It will be only 3 and answer will be 28/3
+Shahin Ali embarrassing mistake, I added an annotation once I found out, couldn't believe I did that, thanks for the heads up!
we Love you teacher.
You don't add the denominator
You shouldn't have added the denominators ...
