Ben's fell off so much with there Chilli and portion size.......But the place looks the same which is wonderful, the crowd is still big ....But if you from DC you know that Ben's changed beacuse the community around it changed so much.......I wish that the food tasted like it use to and the portion of Chilli was running over like it use to be.......They stopped catering to the community that kept them famous and on point......it's more corporate than ever......I grew up on 14th & U street which is one block away. And I clearly understand change is good and bad for everyone BUT!!!! People who from DC Have been ROBBED of BEN'S wonderful Chilli.. It's still built the same and untouched like you see,nothing has changed in that department.... But for us in DC and the DMV .We wish that the people that are visiting BEN'S would have came to visit about 15 years earlier before they started changing DC to fit a corporate narrative .....The DC today is not at all the DC 15- 20 years ago.......good and bad.....and Benz became a franchise which was a Bad move ,that meant shipped Chilli to restaurants and not cooked in the back like it use to be .....but it's been about 70 years and they still find someway to bring the crowd....... Dam I wish they wouldn't have messed with the chilli.......... I Apologize to all who never experienced the real greatness of Ben's Chilli bowl...Butttttttttt!!!!!!! The vibe is still cool it is an experience in itself..............original experience are very few in every city now....once was is not anymore..... But in some kind a way Ben's still stands strong in this corporate bullshit..........LMAO !!!! But slim it's so true........About 70 years strong for BEN'S...... Unbelievable same place,same colors, same block......Now! For us in DC we may swing by to pay respect to Ben's just to say HI! Or Mannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember the good old days....!!! Shit!!!!!! I was there 2am the other day...........just smiling.........
