You have the wonderful beginnings of what can be a multigenerational piece in this, that clearly shows your devotion to our Lord. Please, if I may make two observations that will, I think, make it even more appealing to the generation that today's church has forgotten. You said you wanted a hymn kind of feel to it. You can do that by removing all that repetition. Honestly, that dumbs down good music. Second, how many every everyday people who come to church who will sing this song can kick a line up an octave? That does a great job of showcasing your amazing vocal talent, but most of us don't have the chops for that. I like this - I do. I'd live to hear a version that remembers the church is more than just the Millennials, but their parents and grandparents as well, and we also love to sing.
