There has never been a show as awesome as Spartacus. To bad they don't do a series showing Ceasar rising to power with the blood and guts of this series. Just a thought.
So Liam did do a good job, but I still wish I could of seen Spartacus completed with Andy....he played Spartacus the best I think, such a great actor....it's really to bad and so sad what happened to him:(
Manu Bennett got impressed by Andy Whitfield performance in Spartacus, that's why he will always be grateful for that, for this great saga of Spartacus.. Crixus !!
thank you ! Ceaser will be a true anti-heroe. I actually had a few moments which I was cheering for Crasus and Ceaser (mostly Crasus)... but that was because they showed Crasus as a honorable man which respected his enemy.
Your opinion is yours. From the look of the polls most people want a Spartacus based spinoff. And watching the first episode would definetley be able to sneak in a interesting story.
yea he does, right now there tryna keep it low key since nothing is finalized but think about why they even introduced ceaser to Spartacus? to my knowledge Caesar and crassus dont meet until after the Spartacus situation is solved.
Well they had history to keep in mind. The fact of the matter was that they all died, the rebellion wasnt successful (to a a degree), and the Romans won...anyone who expected them to deviate so far from history as to have the rebels win was only kidding themselves.
Honestly, if no Gannicus, Ill promise you I wont. Yes, a good story with bad guys CAN work, but now when you have a series where you cheer for the other team, I honestly dont feel a Caesar spin off would get near the ratings as Spartacus did. I say let this go out on top. So often, a series milks everything they can out of a series until it goes stale and dry, this is one series that started off with a bang and ended on top as well. It is sad this show doesnt get more credit it deserves.
Caesar only enslaved those who resisted him. Again, Caesar did not go Hitler on the Gauls. He allied himself with the Aedui tribe who invited him as a friend to fight the Germans. Caesar actually wrote he felt the pain the Gauls suffered from the Germans. This may be all propaganda but its hard to believe he would risk his own life, eating crappy food everyday for them. He must have felt something. The Aeudi prasied Caesar for his victory as a friend.
I agree. Gannicus on the cross really ruined the ending bad for me, they made him into a fan favorite after the death of Andy Whitfield (RIP Andy...he will always be Spartacus in my eyes). Gannicus as Spartacus' bodies were never found, I thought putting Gannicus on the cross was goofy. Still, this was an underrated series and doesnt get the proper respect. Everyone has boners for GOT, and I feel Spartacus series deserves more props than it gets.
I agree to an extent. I dont wanna spinoff, I dont wanna see Caesar and I wont support it but hey, I hope the fans who want it get it, just dont expect me there, haha! (I do hope you the fans who want it get it, I just dont care to see a man enslave more Gauls.)
If Gannicus is there...ok, lets talk. My feeling is, he wont be there. Im not gonna enjoy seeing a serious based on a man (Caesar) who goes to war with Gauls and enslaves another million. I cant get behind a series like this.
In real history, no, but this is a TV SERIES. In this, there has to be a guy people root for and a guy people wanna see die. I know my history, I know all this, but im discussing a television series not irl stuff, people wanna see something they can cheer for. In the end, idk how people can root for the guy they hated in Spartacus.
Caesar got his revenge on Tiberius. Sure you can take him. I can take Naevia and Pietros just fine. Again you don't have to cheer for Caesar. The show doesn't even have to be named Caesar. I just want a spinoff of Spartacus that is centered around the Caesar wars because that is the most exciting part in Roman history. Sure they can. Of course they will watch the first episode. A perfect time to redeem him.
Yes, but the thing is, Walking Dead and GOT, like movies about bad guys like Scarface, Heat, etc, REMEMBER, they WERE based on these characters. So, we cheer for them because THE series or movie was always based on them. It be like Scarface 2, and we follow the guy who killed Scarface, idk if people would enjoy that. Again, polls only show so much, I really think the ratings will crumble. I DO hope you guys get what you want, but I wont be there for that journey.
in this world again and again you have to prove that you are good at something but with the Lord Jesus Christ you don´t need to prove anything all you need do is to repent of your sins and submit to the leadership of Jesus Christ and trust in him and only in him alone for salvation. So remember you do not need to prove anything to come to him, but only in this dying world so come to the Lord Jesus Be free from your bondage chains.
I like shows with flawed characters not just the "freedom" BS. Spartacus historically wasn't as saint either. Caesar was both capable of good and evil as shown in history. You don't have to cheer for Caesar there are guys like Verxongetorix and Brutus. Ever heard of Game of Thrones? Lets hope for a spinoff.
How is Caesar any more of a bad guy than Verxongetorix and the Gauls? Slavery was everwhere in those days. Killing and raiding your enemies was common. Your right slavery is bad. Umm but how do that make a character bad???? Just my opinion but characters that are all Disney and Braveheart like suck. Our founding fathers had slaves....we cheer for them.
Yes, some did like Caesar, I saw it split 50/50, that isnt a good way to start. Now, The Rome-GOT series were BASED on those characters. They werent based off another series, like a Caesar spin off would be, it be based on another series people loved and cheered for (Spartacus). I know history, again, I know Spartacus sure as hell wasnt mr innocent, but, the tv show he was the "hero" and the slaves were the "good" guys while "rome" was the evil empire people wanted to get taken down...
Actually the show does a great job at creating 3-dimmensional charcters. Again you don't have to have a main charcter be a good guy. You don't have to cheer for Caesar....again. Caesar and Pompey were enemies.... Proof they didn't? Game of thrones and Walking dead has very dark characters who are not necessarly good and fight eachother. We cheer for them.
Spartacus died to the hands of the men who server Marcos Crassus. DAMN YOU CRASSUS ! WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU IN THE SHORES OF AFTERLIFE YOU SON OF A BITCH !
Again, your acting like these are my personal beliefs. They arent, I have no ill feelings towards Caesar, this discussion was about a Caesar spin off and now youre going WAY off topic here my friend. I dont care for IRL Caesar one way or another, Im talking about why I feel a spin off series of Caesar wont work. I get what you mean, and I dont hate Caesar, now, let me go on why I feel a spin off series will fail ratings wise. Ive been on forums, a lot of people couldnt stand Caesar, but....
The Caesar story is too interesting to ignore. It was a story of Elite corrupt society vs the Poor ,and overseas guerilla wars. Mirrors our society pefectly. There is no doubt Caesar did some terrible things and for his own greed. He still was a hero to his own troops and his people and even to many Gauls. Caesar did not barge in and conquer Gaul, he conquered through diplomacy. The Aeudi tribe wanted him to come because they were being invaded by the Germans and the Helvetti tribe.
ceasars voice from hell in your head, telling you to repent to the Lord Jesus Christ Before it's too late for you.And his voice from hell continues to keeps telling you that the Lord Jesus Christ is right ! And that you are death wrong ! Cemetery as evidence of God's judgment on sin, you have an uncertain time left in this dying world. Romans 6:23
Slavery is slavery, the end. IDC he reasons for doing it, slavery is still slavery, and Caesar was still...ehh.. In the end, IDK if people would route for the BAD guy in this series.
Your point that it is a TV series? Tv series can be altered even more...again this is history based. The Rome series did this great with Titus Pullo and Vorenus. (they had slaves too) We could have fictional side characters. Any person can cheer for Caesar as he brought new land for his people and freed them from opression of the aristocrats. Actually plenty of people liked Caesar from the Spartacus series...just go on the forums. Just look at Game of thrones and see there is no clear hero.
You can tell the love that Manu had for Andy.. He respects him in every interview that I've seen him do; what a great guy.
Crixus seems like such a great guy he honors Andy every interview I watch and knows about every person on the show and what they do.
All I can think of, when seeing these two standing together and smiling: Crixus now's your chance!!!
There has never been a show as awesome as Spartacus. To bad they don't do a series showing Ceasar rising to power with the blood and guts of this series. Just a thought.
So Liam did do a good job, but I still wish I could of seen Spartacus completed with Andy....he played Spartacus the best I think, such a great actor....it's really to bad and so sad what happened to him:(
Manu Bennett ❤️
Caesar and the undefeated Gaul!? Madness! What magic is this?
I like him. He seems like a really good man.
Rip Andy for the show was never the same without u
From what I've seen, Manu is one hell of a guy. Got to give props to him.
Manu and Todd seem o like each other a lot. And Spartacus, has been on for 3 years, not 4. Great show.
Manu is the best
Manu Bennett got impressed by Andy Whitfield performance in Spartacus, that's why he will always be grateful for that, for this great saga of Spartacus.. Crixus !!
cnt wait for the last episode tomorrow
this is based on history, you should put that out there
Todd has always those "look through you" eyes.
I don't want this epic series to end!!!NOOOOO PLEASEEEEE!!!!
Well apparently he's been on a show with this guy before too, the "bikie wars" and he's also been on Xena with lucy lawless
Both 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Guys, look how Manu (Crixus) stared Todd at 2:49.
so wierd listening to Manu Bennett speaking in his real voice. his crixus voice suits him better
lol ya what were some of them talking about on panels, "this week on hot young caesar" ... I'm with you would be phenomenal!
I'm all in for that. He's such a great character, he has me rooting for the Romans!
Dam good looking boy's
thank you ! Ceaser will be a true anti-heroe. I actually had a few moments which I was cheering for Crasus and Ceaser (mostly Crasus)... but that was because they showed Crasus as a honorable man which respected his enemy.
Todd Lassance resemblances with the singer Duncan from the band Blue
some people refer to a season of a show as a series
Your opinion is yours. From the look of the polls most people want a Spartacus based spinoff. And watching the first episode would definetley be able to sneak in a interesting story.
Manu pointing at Todd when the interviewer asked if we would see one of them again!!! Caesar spin-off incoming! :D
R.I.P. CRIXUS
Is there video where the interview doesn't cut to clips from the show (0:43-1:11)?
Please tell me that the music played?
They should make a spin off series of Vercingetorix with the same Caesar in it. That would be too bad ass.
Might have a Ceasas spin off. Im down with that!
These two are so hott Manu as Crixus is my fav character and I love Todd as Caesar!
yea he does, right now there tryna keep it low key since nothing is finalized but think about why they even introduced ceaser to Spartacus? to my knowledge Caesar and crassus dont meet until after the Spartacus situation is solved.
yes i think it is
Fucking Handsome César!!! :P
crixus ultraja aese q tienes a tu ladoooo
totally! Everyone knows that Ceaser's nose was crooked, might as well have had Gannicus break it in that battle.
RIP Andy
Steven DeKnight said "maybe" When asked that on twitter! Lets hope so!
Todd's look is hyponotic!!!
I read that in your voice.
manu always has his arm around is co-workers--he must be a compassionate guy
Yeah, he might be a bit intimidating at first but he's very personable.
I like both actors, but why Manu got Todd in a semi-choke hold. lol Seriously great interview..love the energy and the respect.
They will make a series of crassus, caesar and pompei;)
its not about ceaser's slaves... it about the man who changed rome from a republic to a empire
Well they had history to keep in mind. The fact of the matter was that they all died, the rebellion wasnt successful (to a a degree), and the Romans won...anyone who expected them to deviate so far from history as to have the rebels win was only kidding themselves.
Does he really? Is there really talk of that? I have heard that a lot.
Todd Lasance has fixed his teeth :)
There so good looking they could be anything..
todd is damn good actor and played caesar very well he's awesome
btw i can't believe in these people laughing about rape, you guys disgust me
he "taken like a woman"
Yeah its Julius Ceaser
Honestly, if no Gannicus, Ill promise you I wont.

DUDE CRIXUS CAREFUL CEASAR IS BESIDES YOU!
:D Tks
I agree to an extent.

(I do hope you the fans who want it get it, I just dont care to see a man enslave more Gauls.)
never judge just because of 1st look!

Is this for real?
spoiler Caesar gets his own show it's the spin off on Spartacus
why are they all australians
Yes, but the thing is, Walking Dead and GOT, like movies about bad guys like Scarface, Heat, etc, REMEMBER, they WERE based on these characters. So, we cheer for them because THE series or movie was always based on them.

epic show, shame its ending......

that's why I didn't even bother to reply to him, just ignore him. The funny thing is I'm not anything that he said I am x)
Hard to take him seriously after this week's episode (._.)
How is Caesar any more of a bad guy than Verxongetorix and the Gauls? Slavery was everwhere in those days. Killing and raiding your enemies was common.

I want to see the spin-off series about Caesar.
CAESAR SPINOFF!!
julius caesar spin off?
Todd looks a little peeved that Manu keeps cutting him off.
TL Played the hell out of JC!!!

Best comment ever.
I think the ending could have been better.
so they're allowed to express their religion but im not allowed to express how i feel about it? Seems legit.
Spartacus died to the hands of the men who server Marcos Crassus.

It was yesterday lol
I share in your pain
His not that pale. And its probably just the lighting as well, give him a break
