Hi Steven, Killer On The loose is a good track. Might have a go at that in the near future. Lots of request coming through now for TL. Will have to add these to the list.
Thin Lizzy are my favourite band, and Chinatown, Renegade are both fantastic albums. My favourite is Black Rosé. I'd love to see you cover Black Rosé, Sitomonia, Showdown, and for those who love to live!
Hi Geoff! I remember a couple weeks ago when I subscribed to your channel I asked you if you could do any Nightwish lessons. Actually after following along in your lessons I realized just like me I don’t like tuning my guitar down to D standard or any other tuning. So saying that Geoff don’t worry about the Nightwish lesson as I believe most of their stuff is dropped down to D standard. Anyways keep up the great lessons you’re doing I’m really enjoying them.
Hi Fred, hope your doing well. It's not that I am against tuning down but its a pain in the A** with my Axis, and when I have tuned down the 9 gauge strings I use sound awful and its like playing with rubber bands. Glad you having fun with the lessons.
@@GuitarMates I hope so cos I'm rubbish on guitar I rely on people like your good self to do in depth tutorials thanks again Terrible Geordie guitar player
Hi Andrew, will try my best. Unfortunately UA-cam is no longer the platform it was for doing in depth lessons. Its now mainly cover short versions and reaction videos. Even Rick Beato stopped doing teaching videos and now just does great interviews. That is one of the main reasons I am starting to focus on my premium channel so I can cover a lesson how I want to teach it and not be forced to the current confines of YT. Soon as it's done I will post a message for everyone. I am sure you better than you think you are.
Hi Freddie, that's very kind of you to say so. Just currently working on the solo section right now. If your a subscriber you will notified when its ready. 🙂
@@GuitarMates I am a subscriber, I don’t know how long you’ve been going but discovered your channel a few months ago. Excellent and I am playing some of the songs from your tutorials at gigs !
@@freddiefreeman4119 Hi Freddie, that's great to hear. What songs are you doing. Be great to hear the band if you got any audio tracks or vids. It good to get comments like this compared to some of the troll stuff I get. Thanks for cheering me up. 🙂
It wasn't down to being the best it was down to the requests as a guitar lesson. I do like Black Rose and will look at doing a lesson on that in the future also.
So I have a question, I have 20 years on guitar and have came to the conclusion I will never be a shredder, I am to heavy on strings and cant relax, I can play the hell out of rhythym though, Lol, all those cool jazzy chords and finger twisters but I just cannot solo, it hurts very badly when I try ! do you have any suggestions or should I just sitt in the back holding rhythym?@@GuitarMates
I am sure you get more fun from playing those jazzy chords and playing a fast scales. I have never seen Dave Gilmour as a shredder but who wouldn't want to sound like him. There are ways to work on soloing but you aint going to find many lessons for that on YT. You only ever see the finished article. I could possibly help your soloing. Shredding is mainly just for show. If you wanted to look at lessons contact me gsinker@gmail.com

I voted LnD as one of my top 5 albums that influenced me as a young guitarist.
Absolutely love Thin Lizzy! I don't think the got the recognition they deserved in America.
Never really understood that myself. Interesting article has some answrs ultimateclassicrock.com/thin-lizzy-blew-breaking-america/

Killer on the Loose was the single here in the states. I Loved Sugar Blues. I'd like you to do Opium Trail and Cold Sweat. ❤

I can see me doing a lesson on Black Rose for the fact its a great song.
Just realized the Chinatown riff at the end is the same as The Smiths What She Said. Like blatantly. Oh well I love em both!
Not being a huge Smith's fan I hadn't noticed that. I will check it out.
-------Yeihhhhhhh!!!! Thanks !!!! Maybe next 'Angel of Death ' from their Renegade album??
As I just to Steven, I will have to add more songs to the Lizzy request file.

I know I hear ya’ Geoff.
Great but my way would use fingers 4 and 2 on the first one then no position change!
Both ways work of course, you play to whats suits your style of playing.
any chance of you doing BLACk ROSE ?? that will keep us busy for 6 months
Fantastic Track solo please don't leave me hanging 😂😂 but Still in love with you the greatest love song ever written what a Talent Phil was
Working on it already. Its harder to learn to teach than to actually play.
