You might not know this but Max canonically got the bad ending. In the remedy(original Max Payne studio) game "Alan Wake" there are two audio notes and both are read by James McCaffrey(Max's VA) The second one says: "This was a late goodbye.(reference to a song made for Max Payne 2)Thirteen years after I'd gotten my revenge, it finally caught up with me. It'd been a long time to bear the pain. My blood painted the snow red - a gruesome slushie - dissolved all the scattered painkillers, and leisurely dripped down to the sewer, mingling with the bile of the city, becoming one with it. I can see them now, my wife and my baby. Honey, I'm home..."
@@Emperor.Penguin. I think Max Payne 2 and 3 exist in a different timeline. Both are sequels to the first game. So far there are no references to Mona Sax in the story of Max Payne 3 as far as I know, or any characters that I can connect to 2.
@@moister3727 iirc Max can walk passed Mona's grave during the mobster shootout, and he mentions her directly in a line saying something like "I still haven't forgiven myself about the whole Mona business" It is indirect and vague but she is mentioned once or twice in MP3
There it was.
The soundtrack to my life.
And for a moment, came harmony.
Finally.
Bad ending, you get defeated by the punks and left to die in the Favela like so many before you, organs too corroded to be of any use.
boooy
