Yes, I also agree with the fact that the sandy soil has better ODR than clay. You may got confused as the porosity of the Clay is higher than the Sand. And Yes, Clay has more porosity but it is effective for the water holding capacity due to ample of small pores. So more water, less air will be there. And we can conclude that the Sandy soil has better aeration status than Clay.
