I got through the whole thing last night when I did on iPad first go after a year since I played on my phone. Makes it so much easier to have the big screen
I skipped them because they get in the way more than actually help. Since they updated the game though, the power ups appear at the left of the screen instead of the bottom-middle.
I pick up every POWERUP I see unless my Inventory of POWERUPS is filled to the max but sometimes I still pick them up because I have nothing else better to do but pick them up.

This happens to me alot. I think that the game recognises that you hit the object and is tricked into thinking that it isn't in the way. Thus, it doesn't take damage for the hit. Or maybe it was programmed by Mediocre to leave it like that.

Around 7 minutes you blew 2 multiball bonuses in a really easy area. You have to save those for the areas which give you difficulty, when things are moving fast or there is something difficult to take out. To everyone these areas may be different, but I find I get hit in certain areas more than others so I tend to blow them when I get there.
