Great video comparison. I have the exact same gimbals and as I have purchased the RS3 Mini I was planning to sell the SC but I realised that I really want the active tracking feature because it's a life saver when you are filming yourself and the scenes become more dynamic.
I got the SC for many years and it’s so good! I just used it last weekend from 10am till 10pm and the battery didn’t die! My arm was little sore but it was doable. What I missed in ur vid, does the mini have “force mobile”? I use that almost every week, the gimbal is then do trolled by moving ur phone, ur get such smooth and perfect tracking of people and I often do that like 30 meter always from the gimbal in a live situation!
I own an SC and have a Mini on the way right now. What did it for me… I was on a shoot and the mounting plate on the SC cannot be used with anything else. So I have to set up the gimbal for video before I leave the house, get to where I’m going to shoot video and pictures and do the video first. First the wide lens. Now with my zoom lens, I need to rebalance the whole thing so I can switch from 12mm to 50mm for detail shots. Now when I take the camera off to switch to a tripod for photos, I need to swap out the mounting plates. It’s just too much for what I need to get done! The mount on the Mini can be used on my tripod too and I’ve seen a few videos that show swapping lenses and the motors are powerful enough to not need to rebalance the whole thing to be able to use a zoom lens! I’m so excited to switch to this Mini from the SC, which is also about a pound lighter in weight! I can’t wait. Thanks for the videos!
I'm reading that when connected to a GH5 the mini cannot control aperture, iso, shutter. Seems pretty garbage considering the way older RSC 2 can with the same usb cable. I might have to return my mini 😢
I bought the rs3 mini 2 months ago and now im buying the sc only for the active tracking, for 280 CAD i get the active tracking, the rs3 is compatible with active tracking but it is 680$ + you have to buy the rAven Eye 360$ for enabeling the active tracking
i am contemplating on these two. i shoot my weddings with my "dinosaur" Glidecam Devin Graham series and i love it and I am looking to get a more compact to glide it in the bag... get what i mean? haha

Have you guys tried to remove the axis that’s attached to the grip of the 3 mini? Idk why they didn’t make these detachable as it’s meant to be portable. It’d be perfect for me to put it in my backpack when I flight. I still keep my old moza because of the size when I detach the handle.
you wanna know why dji took the most amazing feature and stripped it from future gimbals.. is because money.. now they can charge you are extra $160 for add-on part, the raveneye, to do the tracking which was built in. so it comes down to pure fukin greed
Are either of these compatible with sony a6000 or fuji x100v for controls to start recording from the gimbal without needing to touch the camera ? My zhiyun crane m2 won’t connect to my cameras. Thanks

do you need to have the phone mounted on top of your camera to have the active tracking work?
