So missed using the CATS to see the City and my usual Walk up river Swan side to cross the Swan and walk on the South Perth Bank to either catch the Ferry back or stride on to cross the mororways to reach Kings Park . Thanks again .

If you want to learn a little history, visit the Fremantle Prizon. It was a prison that held the convicts from Britain back in the 1700's. Moondyne Joe, a very famous convict who escaped from the prison multiple times, has his cell there. The cell room with nails stuck to the walls and doors to prevent escape.

Australia’s most interesting city and the greatest beach town. I had two great uncles that were stationed in Fremantle during WW II. They were on sub duty part of the US Navy working with the aRoyal Australian Navy. They couldn’t have been happier about their assignments. Unfortunately the two subs they served on were lost. Really a nice video. I hope to be able to visit for a couple of months, rent an apartment and get to know this beautiful place. Is it shorter to fly from the US to London, hop on the 787 Dreamliner to Perth or to go the other way LA to Sydney or Melbourne? Oh you lucky people to already be in Perth.

perth far more interesting to the average shanks pony tourist, than this cookie cutter vid shows i was invited by the SWAN TOWER BELL ringers to watch them practise up inside the tower. highlight of one of my 2, 3 months stay in perth. PERTH mint had a fantastic tour offer going. a must do on anybodys bucket list. fremantle is a short public bus ride away. tour of the jail interesting.

Hmm.. living here would really suck for me. I really don't like sparsely populated areas because they are lonely and boring. Another problem is that there is little interesting architecture and nothing much to visit. The problem with Australia in general is that it is too far away from the rest of the world and requires an expensive plane ride to get out.
Damien Heaton yeah... if you wanted to you could go to a shooting range and fire off an MP40 or blow something up. If you had some imagination you would get in a car and drive to Las Vegas or California for the weekend... Perth just sucks.

Perth is a city of its own with a wonderful life style , have been there so often ... all my Family live there
My favourite city,go there every year to visit my siblings,love the food and cleanliness of the city.
I wish one day I could go back and live in Perth with my family.......Used to live here in 1992 - 1995 and it was such a great city.
