  • The integration of electric vehicles (EVs) into the power grid represents a pivotal transformation with the potential to significantly enhance the sustainability and efficiency of both transportation and energy systems. This talk will explore the opportunities and challenges arising from vehicle-grid interactions, underpinned by a series of research projects that investigate various dimensions of this integration including research on upstream emissions, equity implications of air pollution changes, grid readiness for EV integration, and synergies with renewables and shared autonomous electric vehicles (SAEVs).

How come v2g wasn’t mentioned? Why not utilizing the decentralized GWh of ev storage standing still most of the time to stabilize the grid? Combine it with zonal pricing + vpp & ev can become a substantial revenue source for car owners.
