Trim carpenter as well and love your videos, as they are of quality and you are an excellent teacher. Learned the way you demonstrate in the video to calculator spacing, have since moved to an app Baluster Pro that I really like especially when calculating spacing on a rake, and especially tapered balusters on a rake. Please keep post more videos.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I'm working on another video right now, so I will keep them coming. One of the things I love about my work is that I'm always learning. Didn't know there was a Baluster Pro app for example. Thanks again, Scott

great instructions, however, could you help me with installing a handrail and baluster, that are not straight up and down. I'm replacing an iron railing on the inside stairway with new wood railing and balusters. However, the iron railing comes down on an angle??

For sure. If you check my video on the complete stair makeover ua-cam.com/video/eBvsFsn67NU/v-deo.html you will find information on that. Otherwise shoot me an email with a picture. Visit my website www.scottearlsmith.com and click on the email tab and send me your picture.

Thank you for the comment Luis. I appreciate any encouragement I can get. Keep at it. Often after a challenging build, I walk away a bit frustrated. But the next day, I look at the work and say to myself, "Hey, not too bad!"

Totally their idea. And the little monologue that she did on the tape measure was unscripted and that was the first take. I just explained to her the features about the tape measure. LOL

Very cute granddaughters. Absolutely love your videos. Don't do Rap music please! I'm sure none of your subscribers listen to that crap. 😊

Thank you for your comment. I no longer use music in my videos. Unfortunately I can't remove the music without deleting content. If UA-cam comes up with a way to mute or remove music without loosing content, then I will do that immediately. I'm glad that you love the videos and thank you for extending me some grace with the poor music choices. When you start out with a channel it's difficult to figure out what will work, and how to make videos that will be in demand. It's a competitive market! Regards, Scott
