Expensive? Not for us who live here. On average, we earn more than anyone else in the entire world.

Complete nonsense. Norway pays well for unskilled work. The second you advance the ladder Norway pays worse than poor nations in southern Europe. You should try to move around and learn the facts about how poor Norway is for those who are living there. The number one reason for this is the insane amount in the public sector. More than twice as many as most countries in Europe. Those who got an honest job - not living off legalized theft are demanded to pay for all those looters in the public sector.
This is not the main reason for staying the heck away from Norway. The weather is worse than hell.

Median income makes a lot more sense than average income. But of course, most people that say average income actually means median income. If you search for average income in the U.S. it will show you an income that is higher than 60% of the nation's earns. This is because the bottom is not able to push the average down nearly as much as the top pushes the average up.

@@UA-cam_Stole_My_Handle_Too why you so offensive? There are well paid jobs for high skill people, low unemployment and many foreigners working with competitive salaries. I could get higher income in some countries, but work-life balance would be worse. Nordic model means public sector and funding via tax, same thing in all of Nordics, even if I don't need that degree of social security myself, I very much want poverty gone and no homeless, that do not come for free. If snowy winters is not for you, fine, I want 4 seasons and do not like hot summers, 20-25 C is fine, but no thanks to +30 C.

@@ujmm yeah, the middle class in US been falling behind for a long time, but if you very skilled in an area with high demand, you can earn a lot in US. However, to be that high up, means bye bye to life, the work-life balance will be very bad. I did consider going to US when my marked value was at the top, but nah, decided to stay in Norway for quality of life reasons.
