I discovered this video about a month ago, and since then, I must have listened to it over a hundred times. Without a doubt, this is the best of any Bond cover/arrangement on UA-cam. Simply phenomenal. It's borderline criminal that you haven't got exponentially more subscribers. I think the thing that really tanks AWTD is that, on paper, it's a REALLY good song. It has interesting melodies and really good lyrics. The problem is that EVERYTHING about the performance and production of it, whether it be the off-key screechy singing, or the drowning audio mix, or the atrocious guitar tone that opens the song and then never leaves it, is REALLY atrocious. Easily the worst-performed Bond theme even if it's not necessarily the worst-written.
@@thezachmarsh that’s an interesting observation! I do think, however, that the melody of AWTD is quite a lot weaker than the others. The whole chorus pretty much consists of two notes and repeats the same line seven times, rhytmically speaking. But yes - I also agree that the performace of it didn’t exactly enhance it.
