  • Trying out new combinations of Inline Skate boots, frames and wheels is fun. The Powerslide Arise Marathon boots with the Endless trinity 90/110 frames and 3x110mm Matter G13 Track Road Marathon Wheels were a whole new experience...

    I have recently mounted the 4 x 100 elite trinity frame to my Arise boots. It is definitely an improvement over the shorter 3 x 110 frame in terms of stability. It is also slightly shorter than the 3 x 125 by about 15 to 20 mm i believe. I did find that using a "firm" dual pour wheel such as the mpc black magic or the Boom magic significantly reduces the rough road feel over typical single pour wheels or even the g13 F1 hardness wheels.

    Great video as always. I recommend trying the short 125 elite frame instead the long one that cones with the skate.🎉

      Thank you :) If you mean the 125mm elite frame with almost no gaps between the wheels: I've already skated this one with my old PS Swell skates. It was a little too short for me personally, at least for long distance. Something right in the middle would be great. I'll keep my eyes open =D

    Where are you located? You seem to have really nice long skateable trails, very jealous😂

    Hi! Do you think the level of ankle support for the Arise is good enough for cross over, backwards skating, and maybe some wizard skating tricks (gazelle)?
    I have the Evo but the cuff is abit too high for my liking.

      Hi. I have the Arise version without the plastic cuff, just a leather-like reinforcement. It's quite stiff and supportive enough for crossovers. Unfortunately I can't talk about backwards skating with the Arise boot, but Ari, the Stuttering Skater, seems to have no problem skating backwards with his plastic cuff version. I've never tried wizard skating, but I can imagine, I'd prefer the Hardcore Evo with its more comfy padding for that. If you prefer the feeling and forward flex of a lower cuff, I'd recommend removing the plastic cuff from the Evo and not lacing it all the way up to the top.

    Hi, bist Du mit einen Arise noch glücklich. Welches Skatesetup (Schuh + Schiene) fährst Du aktuell am liebsten?

    • @WitchonWheels
      @WitchonWheels  Рік тому +1

      Hallo und danke der Nachfrage. Ja, bin sehr zufrieden. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass ich die Arise Skates auf Strecke nicht ohne Ankle Footies fahren kann. Dazu ist mir das Innenfutter zu hart und rau. Vielleicht sollte ich mal Seidenstrumpfsocken ausprobieren. Ich wechsle aktuell je nach Distanz und Gelände zwischen Arise mit Originalschiene (3x125mm) und Hardcore Evo mit der Endless 90/110mm Schiene.

    And by the way - i made avise versa course than you : meaning , i had my arise marathon and then, folliwing your sentence about the evo , that they are "super comfy" i ordered them 😊 So... my question is - did the heat molding in the evo solved the inconvenience feeling in the ankle? Both me and my daughter have the same aching area and i do hope that heat molding would help. Thank you so much for your great videos!

    • @WitchonWheels
      @WitchonWheels  Рік тому +1

      That's interesting. Heat molding helps a great deal, if the boot fits you well regarding width and length. Anything else can most likely be fixed with heat. I even heat molded my Evo twice and can highly recommend it. To eliminate more intense pressure points, you can stick some cotton balls or tissue in that exact area with some tape, put on your socks and then the hot boots. Good luck, happy baking and skating :)

      If the pain from the pressure point(s) are not too intense, I found that wearing ankle neoprene booties help. I use 2 mm thickness low cut MyFit brand. Hope that helps and thanks for the videos.

      My favorite pair got all torn up last year on the inside from the rain. They are 18 years old but before they got torn they were like slippers on my feet. They were Rollerblade marathon skates back then. I think the Arise would be to narrow for me according to Powerslide size cart. So I ended up getting a different pair. Just got email today saying they are on there way. I will put pics on Relive when I get them

      I had an similar issue with the TAU 90 boots. My feets are wide and I feel pain on my malleolus besause, if I understood well, TAU 90 are narrow. So, I switch to Harcore Evo and it was 3 marvelous years.
      I am also trying to know if the ARISE boots are also narrow and could cause pain to wide foots like mine. :/

    I own a pair of HC evos and they fit nicely for my fairly wide feet. How would you compare the feet to the Arise Marathons?

    • @WitchonWheels
      @WitchonWheels  Рік тому +1

      The lenght and width feel the same, at least in my case (EU 39). You can adjust the width quite well thanks to the laces and heat molding option.
