The blue Maverick's have a stronger spring than the yellow ones. The yellow Maverick is the re-release. That's why they're much more common.

I have never seen even a single dart blaster of any kind in the thrift stores near my house in the past 6 years, who the heck is donating all of this stuff!?
Seeing some of those blasters primed had my ADD kicking in and wanting to de-prime them to at least preserve the spring a bit.
I do the same thing. The worst though was when the Accutrooper came primed in the box, ugh.

I was in to nerf very seriously from circa 2013-2017, and it is so interesting to see how perspectives in the hobby have changed. Like if I saw a supermax 3000, an at2k, or a longshot in a thrift store, I would have bought it in a heartbeat and rejoiced in my good fortune. To hear you pass over those blasters (especially the lime green 2k) and instead be excited about the stryfe is just so fascinating.
Seemed like a worthy outing. I miss when the thrift store in my city had good things.

@@JohnJames. That is always a thing. I also feel that time of year plays a role. When it was frozen and like, real winter here, I would see plenty of Nerf stuff that nobody seemed to want and had my pick no matter when I went cause less people were going and buying in general, but these days when it only gets to freezing point at night and looks like spring lol, the most notable thing is a Strongarm that looks to have spent years in a toilet.
That Stormtrooper blaster is one of my all time favorite blasters. So glad I have one. That second to last store was loaded
You should do a segment at the end where you show what you got and maybe talk about what you might do with the stuff you found. I know you said some throughout the video but a recap at the end would be cool too 😀

I picked up a mega mastodon and a rival nemesis for 7.49 a piece today (7/24/23) Both fully functional, however both had no ammo.
Needless to say, i grabbed them both pretty quickly mostly because blasters like those seemed like i would never be able to collect them due to how much they cost, and the fact that they arent really on shelves.
That tech pistol in the first few minutes looks like it could be a nice mando pistol.
Now I'm officially jealous. I've never found a great deal like this.

Yeah thrifting!! Hey American foam..went to my local goodwill and found a bunch of good blasters….a mega cycloneshock a zombie strike crossfire and a zombie strike flip fury also was an alphatrooper but it was in bad shape!

Coming to the world of foam blasters from the world of firearms, it blows my mind when the comment is "Four dollars, that's too much." On one of my AR-15s the stock alone was $200.
I definitely feel ya there. I’ve built a couple of nerf mods that priced into the 3-400 dollar range each before and was incredulous at the time. Whereas I just spent at least that much on a case of 7.62 and 9mm over Christmas. Makes my high end nerf purchases seem more justifiable. Lol.
@@AmericanFoam I haven't gotten THAT deep into a dart blaster build (yet) but I'm easily $250 in to my Nexus Pro, and that's basically what it costs for a legal AR-15 lower receiver.
Had a couple mavericks as a kid, and wish to hell they cylinder actually rotated properly. Talk about a true roulette lmao.

That double-barrel Jolt from the Scravenger was a pretty good find, I rarely see any Jolts in my area when I’m out thrifting.

DUUUUUUDE my Stormtrooper blaster broke years ago! The pump grip got stuck, and I opened it up to look inside. The gun was broken. I think mine was just a lemon. Awesome finds!
I have been wanting a blue maverick and I dont know why. That and the original Scout. Top of my list for weird blasters I want for some reason.
The sharper image gun. I got one with a target set my grandpa gave me. Neither piece worked. The blaster just was unable to be primed and the floating targets it had didn't work at all.

I already have two Elite blue and orange striped Firestrikes but I'd snag the orange Elite XD Firestrikes to go with my matching Stryfes. I'd also grab the Star Wars Stormtrooper blaster and Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsaber....I know, but I'm originally a saber collector/designer and recently started Nerf collecting....I do have a Vulcan/Havok Fire EBF 25 if that earns me any kudos. May The Foam Be With You!
Actually the original x shot xcess was made before the flip fury, so basically the flip fury is a copy of it
99 cents is too much for a roughcut? I'd be thrilled if I could even find a roughcut at my thrift stores. I do find stryfes and rapidstrikes though lol.
Yeah I found an original terrascout at a goodwill once but it was pretty much strip down it had no tracks, magazine or controller. It only cost $10 so I got it anyways.

I found a new in box hades for $18 at a goodwill in indiana back in 2019
That green shotgun is adventure force and new is $9. Also after a week of use it broke
Adventure Force is only a Walmart brand name. Dart Zone makes that particular blaster. Buzz Bee and X-Shot also make blasters for the AF brand. But yeah, it’s definitely a cheapie. Lol.
I feel like for any nerf modder a thrift store can be a good start
i would have walked out with those Titans. The air tank alone is worth the money. Pull it out, slap some brass on it with a Schrader valve and pop it in a shell, or not. 60 psi all day everyday, 80 if your feeling lucky. 300-400 fps. fun for targets. ive gotten lazy these days and just modded a drain blaster with push button compressor. its just a little over 800 fps. can't seem to get it any higher. 🤷
The Star Wars blasters would've been an immediate pickup for me. All you see those at online is absurd aftermarket prices.

I would 100% get the nerf elite cross bolt and the nerf rival khaos. I have Ben looking for a bull pup/ crossbow type of blaster, and that is just perfect. And the nerf rival khaos is just a perfect rival primary

I always get jealous when i see how much you can find in thrift stores. In the netherlands we can hardly find anything. I would have picked up the hammershot and the buzzbee doubleshot. That last one is not available in the netherlands so ....
same here in Portugal... I'd love to have the same thrift culture as the USA here in Europe, it would make it much easier to get into the Nerf hobby and modding

I grab Apollo for the plunger tube , I put them in retaliators , getting 135 with full length waffle darts

Personally I would have picked up that chaos and Zeus I always overlooked rival when it came out but now I wish I hadn’t
I live in Springfield, MO and the Goodwills have begun asking too much, as much as half the retail price. But the other thrift stores are still reasonable and will still negotiate. I can usually talk them down by two dollars.
I've been to a Goodwill asking $12 for one Maverick and $2 for the one next to it! Not sure what the heck they're thinking sometimes!
