Hi, I like the new travel pack idea, and I love how you speak for Elvis. I forgot to mention 1 of our mousebirds was named Elvis, for real!! We picked her up when she fell out of the nest, but then after a few months we saw that the mousebird was a she, and re-named her Iva.
Anyway see you in next vid!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

He is such a scaredy-cat, that it can be quite a challenge. Takes a ton of patience.

So cool that my comment provided inspiration for a video. I started out by placing it at the top of their cage, where they feel safest, and still do every day before opening the doors, I want the carrier to be an everyday part of their world. Much like Elvis, they aren't fans of enclosed spaces in general, but the millet in there eventually became too tempting to ignore. After a while, I started to see them going in there, hopping on the perch of their own volition. I decided it was time to try closing the door, and while they started flapping around, it lasted only like 10 seconds before they calmed down. I opened and shut the door many times in a row, to give them the idea that it's not necessarily a place for them to get trapped in. Still a work in progress, as they don't go inside there too often. By the way, I can't recall if Elvis steps on your hands without treats involved or not. If he does, do you have any tips on how to make this happen? My budgies back away when there is no millet for them.

Glad you liked it, it was a great idea! Yes, Elvis does get on my hand without me giving him a treat every time, however sometimes he needs a little extra nudge under his belly, if I don’t have a treat.

Hi your budgie is so cute. Did you have any problems training him when he was one month old doing tricks? I'm having trouble training my budgie he's only a month and a half old to learn tricks. Any advice you can give me?

Hi! Thank you and thank you for watching. Since Elvis came from a pet shop and we figure he was about 4 or 5 months old, I’m not sure if the process would be the same, but I do have a video that shows step by step how I trained Elvis ua-cam.com/video/Y7pgXCyVY-Y/v-deo.htmlsi=OA59c_ZjIE2xZdkX. I hope it helps you!
