im late but yes! thats the reason i really wanted to get these
JoyToy are really taking off at the moment. I'm seeing a lot of reviewers starting to take notice.
I was aware of them for a couple of years, but the price made me hesitant. There was also some QC issues on their earlier releases.
But now I've taken the plunge and have a bunch of figures on order. They are very cool and lend themselves to customization.
(I'm more into the 1/18 figures than the 1/27 mechs).
They also seem to have a quick turnaround time, with only about a month between anouncement and release of new products.
I've yet to see the 1/8 figures....
i found those like yesterday via an ad on instagram and i HAD TO BUY SOME. no research, nothing, just "oh my god those look so damn cool i need it in my life"
so after watching this video it seems my choiceof impulse buying 3 at once wasnt so bad :D
i have couple of the early version of these and they are great! one of mine did have a loose joint but easily fixed. they are great and comes with unique pilots and they definitely reminds me of titanfall ^.^
can i kitbash them?

On Weibo there are almost monthly releases of this line. Either mechs and repaints, pilots/soldier packs or vehicles. I can see the design language of Titanfall (JoyToy used to make merchandise for it in a different scale I believe), but personally I am reminded of the older RPG & computer game Heavy Gear in terms of size compared to the soldiers, unlike Mechwarrior/Battletech which were much larger.
I used s gift card to buy one of these last month cause it reminded me of my bt-7274 figure but better. I ended up ordering one that looks like the ronin with swords I used all the the time in titanfall 2 lol. I chose these over the pg rx 78 cause I just don't really want another original gundam model , that and I'm alittle burned out on building gundams atm.
I saw this on pre order list, and man it looks so handsome! but since it is not model kit and expensive, I skipped it. kinda regret it, but yeah, need to focus your hobby on one area (for me, model kit, that is very big already, most of my friend focus on particular type for example SD, RG, or MG), can't spread it too big, if not your wallet won't be able to take it
This "totally not titanfall" figure It has been sold in the form of a mountable kit for just over a year in stores like Aliexpress. The construction complexity is like that of an HG or less. The plastic and finishes are VERY cheap for the price, so I recommend avoiding them unless you really like the design.

the head of the H05 was really tricky to fit together properly, it took me a while to balance everything so it wouldn't look crooked
I’ve been so tempted by joy toy and acid rain figures, but the price for a non-IP feels a little steep. But damn! They look so good! Reminds me of titanfall
I had the same thought as you but once you have the figure, you will know it's great value for money TBH
i already own 7 of them and i wished i had started earlier . they are addictive to collect.

The toy line I was pleasantly surprised by are the Diaclone reboot series. I bought one out of curiosity and am now hooked. I might have to give joy toy a try. How is the QC on joy toy?
Surprisingly good. No loose joints, no broken parts, no missing parts. Just that the instructions manual is really shitty.

I was sure this figures height and articulation is based from a playarts kai Titanfall figure only the amount of pegs are original that playarts don't possed.

I have to agree, the weapons are pretty much the same on all the models. Almost all have the gatling gun. Should have rocket launcher, mortars, rail gun, or electricity weapon
