Drivers side rear black panel that has the cig socket in unscrew behind there is a thin black conduit split inside there there is a red/white wire and black cut the red/white wire this will stop the beeping done a few of these now come from factory annoying they not fitted double engage hope that helps you buddy
Neat idea wiring the rear view camera upto the interior lights.

I drove a Ducato camper this summer with the 9 speed auto box and it was great. Easily as good as the VW and even better, the missus loved it.

@@alanhat5252 I don't know. But I think it is the ZF 9HP transmission, which is widely used and has been around for a while. It certainly worked very well.
First Priority for Furniture is the Bed, because one third of your day will be spent in Bed and because a major amount of Time in the Van, will be spent in Bed.
That rattling sound..iv got the same problem John.. its all the loose change in your ash tray from buying all you're new gadgets ready for the new build..just check.. 😃
Enjoy the Hotel and all its, "ahem", perks! You're sounding so much happier now and methinks this good 'un has a lot to do with it. And Mandy of course. I don't think she'd mind me saying so! Good stuff. Here's to the exciting sounding next video. Take care. All the best. Pam
Hi John, I was very interested to hear your observation of the Maxxaire Fan as I have recently had one installed. I haven't noticed the wind noise, however, I can hear external sounds and I thought it was coming from the fan. You have now confirmed this. I will be really interested to hear how the kit you are getting performs. Thank you for always bringing really useful and informative vlogs.
Enjoy your weekend in Nottingham with Mandy. My son is going to the NEC next Sunday, so I've said to keep a look out for you, if your there. Find myself excited for you as the build progresses 😃
Hi John. Interesting comment about the maxxair fan. I have just the one in my conversion and have never noticed any wind noise, though I don't doubt what you say. What I did notice was that when I shut it manually and then drove the van I got a little bit of a rattle (perhaps I hadn't shut it properly) but when I close it on power with the remote, I get no rattle when I am driving the van. Just my own experience. I didn't know you could get a seal for the fan though so I shall watch that development with interest. Interesting and useful knowledge on the axle weights too. I have been careful with weight distribution across the width of the van but probably have a disparity from front to back. No doubt you will have considered it but have you looked into the 80/20 aluminium to build furniture? I really wish I had your electrical knowledge, my electrics is based on a poweroak ac200 which is good but am envious of the fast charging of the ecoflow. Thanks for your videos, every day is a school day when I watch them!
Have considered a bulk head replacement with a door in it which not only gives you sound reduction into cab, improves temperature control, stealthiness and gives you extra walls? Just a thought
Hi John, you mentioned a weather strip for your fan light. I have the same issue with a normal roof light. Noise and draught due to the stupid eu thing. What and where did you purchase the kit you mentioned in a video. Thanks. Mark
Hi John. Loving the build. I just brought a Citroen relay to convert so only just started. I want to fit a reversing camera just like the one you fitted with the screen in the same place as yours. Is that the 4.3 or 7in screen version. It fits nice under the light and having power there is really handy. Have you a link to where you brought yours. That would be really helpful. Thanks John, look forward to the next one.
Was the bulkhead a simple cut/grind out job? Assume that it's not a stressed member and that you didn't have to replace with a strengthening bracket? Bob
Adam was talking about this video and mentioned the first class ticket 😆 I always think that too. It's our age John. Anyone younger than 50 are probably thinking eh? They were the same shape as Spangles 😍.
I bet you are loving that rattle lol, seen one where it was the roof not properly fixed to a beam so it was a small enough gap to vibrate when driving?
I am really interested in that sealing kit for the MaxxAir. Currently in windy area and the vent above my bed is really noisy. Also, the what year is your Boxer?
Hi John , I'm going to buy a van not 100% what I should get the coach build option I like is a chassoun x550 because it's van size but will a true van build be better long term?
Can’t wait to see what you have planned I’m going down the same route as you regarding electrical system I’m just at the begging of converting a Mercedes’ Vario 25 seater coach.
When driving on or off road in a heavy vehicle having good weight distribution on each wheel, driven or not, massively helps keep good control & traction.
@@GadgetJohn it's true adding weight at the back will stop the back wheels locking can't really see that being a problem tho my cousin has a same van as yours and when converting it i urged him to put more weight at the front but he didn't listen his van is now utterly useless on anything remotely slippery it just gets stuck all the time
Did I dream that your using the white "wooly" insulation? I would have thought pir would give sound insulation as well as heat so would be a far better choice? Thats what I used in my previous conversion.

This build is giving hope to people who are just starting/ thinking of converting a van from the start 👍🏻

Am enjoying your 'thought flow' vids John - it works for those of us who can only live in our thoughts about things for the time being! YAM xx

I didn’t think there was that much noise from the van. The sound proofing definitely works 👍

Hey John if you double engage reverse the beeper will go off
That doesn’t work for my van

Hi John, really enjoying the series. Just picked up my 18 Boxer. Can the rear view camera screen be fitted to the rear view camera mount ?

New fiat auto is a true auto gearbox unlike the older version . It should drive like a proper auto .

Hi might of missed it but what happened to the motorhome
Hi john, you don't mention what model your van is?
Go back a few videos
Ah man. I almost thought I was getting a shout out. Ha. Or I guess you had a hundred of the same comment 😂
Keep going👍

Still don't get your reasoning on the even loading is it a handling thing or a legal thing

Must be weird driving a stripped out van, after driver a Motorhome for so long.
It’s certainly different, but far more enjoyable.

The celotex type. The solid stuff with foil backing.
