"Phir?" "Phir kya?Itna hi hai" - No other cinematic interaction makes me skip a beat and helps me relax at the same time. I have this movie downloaded in my phone and I keep rewatching certain clips and songs and look at the screen with a longing. I think, this film and especially this song is very special to me because of its honesty. Every character, dialogues, each pause, the music, Shweta's teasing smile and Vicky's bashful face, even Varun Grover sitting at the back clicking pictures like a tourist or some artsy BHU kid; each scene is so honest and looks effortless only because I think a lot of effort was put in making it. I want to keep listening to this song and continue watching the film but even when the song or the film is over, it feels right. It feels satisfactory? Like, it had ended well, sparked feelings in the audience's heart and left swiftly. One can turn off their laptops and movie phones and get on with their lives, humming the song ... and when one returns, they can find the same freshness in this masterpiece. My heart is so full when I listen to this song or even talk about it. I carry this song in the happy part of my heart. I hope this song stays with me forever.

Those days we had shyam benegal, Gonvind nihalani type of maverick directors. We need such type of mavericks to get back those masterpieces
Yes this can also be seen in present day Hollywood movies too. Mainstream Hollywood moves has become so noisy and cringy. But if you do o little search you can also find good movies that got hidden. The demand for such more is less and as a consumer we should not accept mediocrity and demand more perfection and sincerity.

Being a Bengali I used to think when Hindi litarature would take this form of expression, common dialect also can be used to express deep intense feelings(though Javedji, Guljar Saab also did before but not in this form) so to me "Tu Kisi rail si gujarti hai ,main Kisi pool si thartharatha hoon" definitely took Hindi litarature to another 'aayam'. I couldn't stop adoring this song and the movie such a masterpiece it is. It teaches many valuable things to you and shows different chapters an individual goes through. Especially the ending of the movie. Its neither a happy ending nor a sad thats the best thing about the innoncence shown in the movie. Vicky's acting is outstanding i can't adore him enough and it was his debut. I literally have no hopes Bollywood making more movies like this in the future but i wish if they could.
Everytime I watch masaan, among multiple stories & sub-stories, their love story touch me the most. In my opinion, deepak & shaalu's love story is among the finest love stories depicted in indian cinema.

I couldn't stop adoring this song and the movie such a masterpiece it is. It teaches many valuable things to you and shows different chapters an individual goes through. Especially the ending of the movie. Its neither a happy ending nor a sad thats the best thing about the innoncence shown in the movie. Vicky's acting is outstanding i can't adore him enough and it was his debut. I literally have no hopes Bollywood making more movies like this in the future but i wish if they could.
If we think deeply, this movie had capability to become a nomination at Oscars.
