Do not underrate the far superior capacity of Indians mastering German, even better than German teachers. Why ? And how. Well, in other fields the god given superiority of Indians you find in the presentation of Orissi dances. No western girl will ever reach 50 % in this brilliant art of dancing.
And so it is with Indians mastering German. I was privileged by the Grace of our Mahashakti to marry 1970 an Indian girl, Gauri, in an Indian temple. Gauri came to Berlin and attended the 1. course at the Goethe institution and started soon to read. In the following twenty years she had read most of German literature, knew „ Der Osterspaziergang“ and „ Die Winterreise, Der Doppelgänger, Die Loreley and poems by Goethe, Nietzsche and Rilke and all the other poems from „ Der Ewige Brunnen“, the book with most German poems.
Myself, being an independent German legal adviser have not reached her present level. We are equal in the daily Berlin dialect.
