    Hi Sowmya, I tried this today without food colour. Turned out very delicious. Had powdered sugar also with roasted aval as it will take lesser time to cook. Thanks for sharing a quick sweet recipe

      We can use brown sugar. Try using the same 1 cup ratio for brown sugar too. If you are sweet tooth, you can use 1.25 cups of brown sugar🙏

      yes we can use jagger. Melt the jaggery separately and strain and add it to cooked poha.

    I like the vessels that you use in the video whether it is a serving dish or the one in which you do the cooking. I have a basic question. when you give 4 whistles while using the pressure cooker , do you mean that one should switch off the medium of heat source immediately or whether one should keep the fire on sim for a few minutes and then switch off. My mother is a big fan of keeping the pressure cooker on the lowest flame for a while before switching it off completely. I never questioned her logic so much so that I have unconsciously inherited her habit!!

      I usually switch off immediately after 3-4 whistles for rice and veggies. My stove is coil based and it will have heat for more than 5 mins even after switching off. So for rice and veegies i move the cooker from the coil. For dal i keep in the coil till the heat is fully gone. Did i answer your question or confused you 😄
