My grandmother learned to play the piano in a convent school in Ontario, Canada. She played beautifully until just before her passing in 1969 at the age of 87. I can still remember her playing this piece. Brought back many happy memories. Thank you for warming my heart. Margie
As a retired photographer, I love the music but am interested in Stephanie’s wardrobe. It’s been amazing throughout the years I have followed her. I have worked with professionals and whoever is choosing her outfits is at pro level.
@@leonp5658 - I am an expert at posing people during creating model portfolios but not a fashion pro. Someone chooses what she wears and I was curious about that.
Lovely contrasts for this wonderful 4 hander arrangement. Like all great musicians, it looks effortless! Paolo takes the stride with both hands whilst Steph doutifully doubles.
What a lovely, cheerful melody that is, played with such perfect, precise harmony. Your arrangement had many of your beautiful ‘signature’ elements to it, which I really love. Thank you again Stephanie and Paolo 😊😊
I like when a so-called "Novelty Piece" is performed with such bravado & care & love. This alchemy yields a real magic which captures the heart as well as the imagination.
Over the past decade or more of being a ragtime enthusiast, I have loved this tune. It appear in most ragtime presentations, and is always a crowd favorite 😂
Loved the Transcript. Thanks for all the hard work and thoughtfulness that you put into all of your posts. Very enjoyable & impressive Video. I've listened to it several times. Until next time....
Bravooooooo….ohh wouldn’t it be wonderful to have all of these magical magnificent performances combined into CD format or DVD..I’d watch and listen to them all day and everyday…🎉😂..Thanks again for a wonderful few minutes of mastery…Have a wonderful week ..Slainte from Bali ..
As a hack Boogie Woogie/ Ragtime pianist it's such a joy to hear you both! Can't help but smile. I keep thinking----these videos should have 2.8 million views!!! Seriously!
I used to look (listen…) to your wonderful arrangements on big screen with my wife standing by me and, what we appreciate most is at the end when you both smile with looking in the eyes of each other (with a clear complicity), that is so great and refreshing. Thank you for your music, Philippe.
Thank you for my Monday Moring fix! I often wonder, when you play something as complicated as that, is any of it improvised or if you played it again would it be note for note exactly the same?
I'm always curious about the mysterious processes which, working away steadily down through the years, can yield such amazing fruits; so many elements coming together so harmoniously. Obviously native gifts play a huge role in reaching this level, but surely the same process model could benefit anybody and everybody just in their everyday living. We obscure so much process detail under the black-box categories of "talent" and "hard work," and then we equate outcomes with virtue or ethical worth -- surely top -flight performers themselves understand better than anybody how insidious and destructive these attitudes can be to the less-than-lucky among us; understand that to be denied access to, and years aboard, the slow but steady train of process, is, ultimately, to be excluded from full participation in the project of humanity. Modern tech has done so much to "humanize" these impossibly virtuosic performances; may these impossibly virtuosic virtuosos continue to do so as well.

One of my favorite novelty pieces! How do feel about me joining you at the theatre organ when we finally get you here?
That would be fun!!

The only thing missing is a silent movie to go with it.
I have often wondered how long you spend working out your arrangements and commititng them to memory ?
👍🌞
