- Located in the Missouri Ozarks close to the Mark Twain National Forest and Johnson's Shut-Ins near Pilot Knob, Ironton, and Arcadia, Missouri is a State Park called Elephant Rocks State Park.
Made up of Ancient Granite this state park is a natural geological wonder. Once magma in the ground this area has solidified into a pink granite. Erosion has led to some fascinating rock formations on top that are great to explore.
Super! Best Elephant Rocks video I've seen! Thanks.

@@MarksofCuriosity yes it is. I’ve done so many day time jaunts there, Mina Sauk trail, Johnson Shut Ins and Castor Shut Ins. Little pieces of heaven wishing a couple-few hrs of STL.
Love your vids. Always take time to watch them when I see a new one.

Elephants and don't forget Mastodon State Park. Just realized it's been 50 years since I have been to Elephant Rocks and nearby Johnson's Shut-in's. Thanks!
My pleasure 👍 It’s a great place to explore and I hope to edit the shut-ins footage from the same trip soon 😊
