I’m not the only one who skips the M14 and Olympia and just uses the Knife and 1911 straight to either the MP40 or Box right?
Edit: to clarify, I don’t buy the box immediately. Kino for example, I use the 1911 and knife until I get to either the MP40 or Bowie Knife. If things aren’t going good I’ll get the MP40 but most times I’ll skip it for the Bowie Knife, and then use that till it’s no longer a 1 hit and I’ll get Jugg and a weapon from the box, then I’ll get my other perks then focus on getting the weapons I actually want (thundergun, hk21, etc), then I save for pack and it’s all set from there, just training and using traps to get as high a round as I can

As an Olympia gang member since childhood, I didn’t understand what the point economy was. All I understood was I click, and the zombies drop. While my friends were gaining the point economy, I was gaining the dopamine economy.

I hate how the M14 only has 8 rounds and not 10. That always bugged the shit outta me. I'd rather have the M1 garand than the M14. Loads way quicker.

Over under shotguns are the coolest tho irl, and I usually prefer Olympia just for more damage on kino because there’s plenty of space to have time to reload it and you still get good enough points from boarding windows, may take longer but I dislike enemies coming at me so fast unless I have a spot like the upstairs of nacht

M1911 gang when it's round 3, they have 10 bullets left (they have been saving them) and they shot them all in one zombies head (he did not die) (He tried to to knife him but lunged and threw himself in the horde) (he died 😢)

M14 is better to buy right off the bat but the Olympia is unironically really good packed. my high round kit on Kino once we got Mule Kick was always crossbow, Thundergun, Olympia.
Papped shotguns are underrated
Dragon breath gives a strange damage boost which works in any round.
Shotguns are not good for clearing zombies

They do a number on dogs, especially when packed. Even at higher rounds. I once upgraded the double barrel shitty on Der riese and I loved it. Hit the box and traded it for the ray gun. I regretted it.

I always loved the Olympia. I couldn't afford the DLCs growing up, so I played a TON of Kino. Grabbed the shotty, speed cola, and PaP, and you get yourself "The Million Mile-an-Hour shotgun"

There is an Olympia in BO3, but surprisingly, its not in any Zombies map, especially in Zombies Chronicles. But you would probably have to port it and go to a custom map to even use it..
Be interesting to see it since the M-14 was buffed on BO3

M14, mainly for stacking up points in the early rounds after my pistol runs out of ammo. On round 4 i would shoot the body 3 times, then knife. My goal is to get jug as soon as possible; maybe the Bowie knife too if I'm feeling saucy

Simple:
As a kid, you go for the Olympia.
As an adult, you go for the M14
Only the most enlightened players go for both
M14 is for zombies, headshots, and point collection. Olympia is for hairy situations, and dogs (especially if you don't have juggernog).
If you have 2 players, you can get one of each and have each other's backs. If you're going solo, both are affordable and will get you pretty far while offering good protection until you can get to the mp40 or box. But you don't *need* to buy them. It just depends on how reckless or careful you choose to play.
This was the same conclusion I reached those first couple times I played Five and Kino back in the day. The M14 for points and long game. Olympia for damage and survivability. I thought this was well-known already lol.
Survivability so long as you don't fudge up and need to reload in the worst possible place. Honestly, it's not the weapon it's really just how good the player is with said weapon.

@@zenkoz3158 precisely, if you're cracked at hitting heads then you might be better off with the M14 or if you're smart enough to know when to reload then that takes away the Olympia's only drawback. It's really just down to the guy holding the gun.

@julius00 Well depends on the round, you can shoot zombies multiple times before killing them but if you've reached a round where the olympia is no longer one shotting zombies you should probably get a new gun by that point let's be real.

The M14 was definitely better in early rounds for the points alone, however I loved using the Olympia around round 20-30 when upgraded and with Speed Cola and Double Tap on BO2, and it felt like my ammo would not run out as quickly on the Olympia than the M14.
Here is some additional stats for ideal situations. This is if you are hitting all headshots, if they are all PAP'ed, and if you have Double Tap 2.
M14: 499,200 maximum damage potential
Olympia: 297,600 maximum damage potential
Take in mind that it is much easier to reach max damage with the Olympia then the M14, but the Olympia can't headshot.
But the Olympia can headshot wdym
All the pellets won't all hit the head every time

M14 is good for points and that’s about it; shooting a train in the legs to stack up until like round 10-15, then go unlock most of the map and get a setup going.
Olympia is good if you just don’t care about min maxing the early game.

Yeah i usually skip over both and go for the trench gun. Side note, results may differ if either of y'all knew how to shoot for the head. Were body shots part of the ballancing for the two guns? Cause i feel the main advantage of the m14 is that it can kill more zombies per mag if you headshot. They reward different skill sets. Olympia rewards good spacial management and m14 rewards good aim.
