I usually don't pick Katarina against lots of CC but when I do, I would buy Banshee's for 3rd item. Even with banshee's you still need to be careful and wait for a low HP enemy before going all in on teamfights

kata is really hard to play when behind you have to keep up with enemy even though your team is losing
