For some really good western black metal music, Wayfarer’s A Romance with Violence is one of my favourite black metal records of all time. And while the Callous Daoboys are now running, The Dillinger Escape Plan’s last album Dissociation walked, and man does it do it in style.
Met a few of these folks at The Dillinger Escape Plan show in Brooklyn the other night and they are so beyond awesome! Can't wait to see them again in August!
Saw these guys live recently and it’s so chaotic people were trying to mosh in the pit but couldn’t find the rhythms to move along properly 💀😂 crazyyyyy band
Yeah, I get hints of that sometimes too. Especially sections like the first half of star baby with the whirring noise guitar riffs, dance-y rhythm section and the general pacing and tone of the screams.
Saw these guys with Tesseract and Unprocessed earlier this year. They were unfortunately let down by the sound in the venue and a dead crowd, but they had a lot of energy and gave it their all despite that. Really like what I've heard from them so far.

Carson is somewhere between Micheal Lessard of The Contortionist/Last Chance to Reason fame, and Tim Robinson of I Think You Should Leave/Detroiters fame in looks. I get a lot of Tim Robinson when he performs. MOON RIVER ROCK, MOON RIVER ROLL
