I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT SUMMER 2025 TO FIND OUT HOW THIS ENDSSSSS Anyways HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! Thank you for following my Dan Da Dan REACTIONS this season!
Okay, for everyone's peace of mind, just read chapter 34 to get your conclusion as to what happened after that scene with momo. Just that one chapter if you really don't want to read the manga but wanted some closure somehow.
Totally agree. Either chapter 34 or get to 35. Them ending at 35 woulda been CRAZY and diabolical but actually in a good way, plus picking back up in July at chapter 36? My GAWD
Its feels like a GENUINELY bad idea to leave the season on this cliffhanger. I read the manga so i know this is pretty much the last time we get a really graphic and uncomfortable SA scene, and in the context of the arc this scene is uncomfortable but because of what happens immediately next you dont LINGER on it. As a cliffhanger this just leaves you feeling uncomfortable . Its hard to ask people to hang for 8 months when something just leaves you gross and uncomfortable. You dont look forward to that.
It's a bad cliffhanger for sure but if people can't handle scenes like these but we're okay to watch episode 7 which was the most graphic episode of the season and called it a masterpiece.
@@trippersigs2248 oh I agree it's a bad cliffhanger. They should have kept that scene for cour 2 or season 2. The cliffhanger should have been Jiji and Okarun discovering that room

Something I think that's worth pointing out is that creepy was definitely the mangaka's intention. Those guys' designs are based off of politicians from the CCP and they called themselves predators (gators). It was a covert political message. Quite the place to end it though haha
@@XG417 Sorry I keep trying to post a link to Reddit but I don't think its going through. Someone made a comparison image with the manga and its pretty undeniable.

That’s interesting that they would call themselves predators lol. I don’t understand why people who are creepy would want others to know it. I mean that is kind of the point of that assault scene, it's meant to make you hate those characters and make you the viewer/reader feel uncomfortable. It would be far more concerning if you were 100% comfortable with those kinds of scenes. However for some people that subject is too triggering or they just lack the maturity for it. In my opinion this subject is only bad in fiction when it is being glorified, over sexualized (making the scene seem erotic), turned into a form of fan service, made into poor taste comedy or treated as something less than the grotesque and uncomfortable subject that it is. For example, Oda has confirmed in an SBS Q&A that Doflamingo raped Violet in One Piece... It makes sense for his character and it makes him a better villain. It doesn't make it admirable thing, it's not meant to make you like him more as a person, it isn't meant to make you smile, laugh or feel anything good. It's intent is to make the character more detestable to help create a character that feels like a true villain who is pure evil. But hey I've read Berserk and this is tame compared to plenty of things depicted in that manga.
@ oh I agree leaving it on that note is rough, but I am talking about the concept of have SA as a theme that is part of a villains characterization. And how the intent is to make someone uncomfortable and makes them hate those characters.
Disgusting and disturbing is the whole point. Sometimes a story about the occult wants to give youvthe creeps. Its a story that incorporates sci-fi and horror and creepy aliens, ghosts and humans are the ingredients.
Jami as a HUGE manga lover you aren't overreacting. Not only is there the thing with episode 1, but the thing about this is that while the secret room scene ended on a chapter's end in the manga, Momo's predicament the way they played it in the anime did not end on a chapter's end. So even for me, this ending for episode 12 really leaves a sour taste in my mouth, but no you aren't overreacting it's understandable. Personally I woulda preferred a different point for the end of this season but the episode woulda had to be like 50% longer lol.
Ep 11 with Okarun reflecting on his feelings for Momo with the mannequins would have been better. Or just having episode 12 without Momo's side shown to this extent, just the boys discovering the room.
As a manga reader of Dandadan, you can breathe easier Jamie knowing that this is the last of the really sus moments in the series lol. Im caught up to the current chapter ,and so far nothing like Episodes 1,9,and 12 happen again.
As a manga reader I don’t like how they ended this season. Giving the preview, I knew they were going to end this episode with Ken and Jiji finding that secret room; I just forgot what Momo was going through around that time. I just feel like that this wasn’t a smart choice because it’s going to leave a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouth; and now they have to wait 7 months to find out what happens. I get they did this so people would buy/read the manga, but still, it felt very tasteless and unnecessary
I can somewhat see why they did so, basically all of the controversial scenes (SA) are out the way and not having to start off cour 2 right off the bat with momo going through Not to mention it was one hell of a way to say read the manga to see what happens next
@@johnstamps4829I think starting off cour 2 with this would have been the better choice, it would only take a week for it to be cleared up instead of leaving it on a cliff hanger for 7 months. I mean season 1 did start off with something similar.
6:43 The moment when Jamie fell in love with Jiji... ;) 9:03 & 14:27 Do you still want to...? :) 10:16 That change in voice and personality with Momo there. 13:12 What happened to the fifth man?
When I got to that scene in the manga I was feeling the exact same way you are here. "Icky" is a very accurate description. So yeah, no, you are not overreacting as far as I'm concerned.
The author make it realistic to convey that disgusting feeling because they have to show kito family villians and not make them they are grey characters they are purely evil
Yeah i think these type of scenes are the worst part of the anime/manga and are the reason why some people drop it, like not that it would be that much better but if you are going to make you characters go through this type of stuff at least make them be adults the fact that Momo is a minor makes it so weird
Wait, you think teenagers doesn’t get SA??or you think their teenagers felt while being SA not worth depicting??what may people think personally is mirror of themselves but i think we mustn’t avoid bring about sexual misconduct and its consequences. That is better way than closing eyes to the subject because it made us felt uncomfortable. Dandadan is about coming age story between two teenagers in alien and spirit settings, the thing about coming age there is always sexual element to it, and it clearly address the deviant and the example equally. While the example being glorified and the deviant being treated as serious threat.

Your cat is so cute😂
That ending reminded me of goblin slayer ep 1 😨
素敵な動画をありがとう
2期も楽しみですね
2025年7月からですね😄
They singing slam dunk lol
3:11 PEAK SLAM DUNK REFERENCE 🏀🏀
Now we must wait for July 😢
I loved the Slam Dunk reference
They are evil for ending the season on a cliffhanger, I don’t know if I should wait or read the manga
Read the manga
Read the manga its peak
You think after all the stuff that they went through, Momo would learn not to go to places *alone*, especially in unfamiliar territory?
Maybe this is an opportunity for us to ask for some Slamdunk reaction lol
See them back on July 2025.
Second time i see Sugita-san (Taro's VA) getting annihilated by truck kun
I'm assuming she did recognize the Slamdunk reference
As a manga reader of Dandadan, you can breathe easier Jamie knowing that this is the last of the really sus moments in the series lol. Im caught up to the current chapter ,and so far nothing like Episodes 1,9,and 12 happen again.
"are they even human" , poor of men that actually look like that irl u.u
Rule 34 will go insane with this episode...
I can somewhat see why they did so, basically all of the controversial scenes (SA) are out the way and not having to start off cour 2 right off the bat with momo going through
Not to mention it was one hell of a way to say read the manga to see what happens next
@@johnstamps4829I think starting off cour 2 with this would have been the better choice, it would only take a week for it to be cleared up instead of leaving it on a cliff hanger for 7 months. I mean season 1 did start off with something similar.
6:43 The moment when Jamie fell in love with Jiji... ;)
9:03 & 14:27 Do you still want to...? :)
10:16 That change in voice and personality with Momo there.
13:12 What happened to the fifth man?
it's okay😅
There are cats that bring good luck, right?😅
When I got to that scene in the manga I was feeling the exact same way you are here. "Icky" is a very accurate description.
So yeah, no, you are not overreacting as far as I'm concerned.
12:50 well, Okarun was ride by Momo several times. I think Okarun won
Sucks that a lot of people don't get the Slam Dunk references.
Ending at Diddys swimming party is crazy work
those men gives Momo the creeps
The author make it realistic to convey that disgusting feeling because they have to show kito family villians and not make them they are grey characters they are purely evil
14:56 Looks like that place Gojo sealed Yuji 🧧🧧
Yeah i think these type of scenes are the worst part of the anime/manga and are the reason why some people drop it, like not that it would be that much better but if you are going to make you characters go through this type of stuff at least make them be adults the fact that Momo is a minor makes it so weird
Yea sure, an aggression are “weird” only when minors are involved.
That’s are an american bullshit at his finest.
This saddened me when no one get the reference of "slum dunk" best op and ed sung by okarun and jiji 3:12
Change the old creep guys for Donquixote Doflamingo, Shanks, and Laxus, and watch the magic happen.
